    Writing Skeletons & Summoners

I’ve been thinking that non-human protagonists and fun journeys have been quite popular. Skeletons especially. Whether they are an undead or skeleton, there seems to be a sort of intrigue when you’re stripped of your identity and given a mystery to solve. Like who summoned you and where you...

    Need inspiration.

How to write a proper killing intent.

You left out the context. Fear of the unknown is a thing, but you can’t fear a knife that’s outside your vision. You can’t fear hidden poison without ingesting it first. Killing intent is perceived by others, not given to people through some mystical aura. Is what I meant.

How to write a proper killing intent.

Killing intent is shown through expression, gripping a knife threateningly, or just perceiving another person’s actions as dangerous. It can be done purposefully, but most who feel it usually have pre-established fears beforehand. What some writers lack is understanding of what killing intent...

    ‘Dark Fantasy’ isn’t done well

I intend this to be a critique and poll regarding something I’d overcome recently. A corner of my mind always asked me why the dark storylines written by newer writers succeed more than those who had been writing for some time. Not the difference between amateur and veteran writers, but just...

How to properly describe a beautiful character?

Describe what makes them beautiful. Sounds simple? Well, there are different eyes that see different things as ‘beauty’.

‘Magic Academy’ or ‘General Life’ Poll

I’ve decided to make my main character a guy with an Afro. And a gun that takes in some of his hair that is enhanced and shot. He has ‘Hair Craft’ as one of his skills but no Innate Gift. He’s similar to the main character of the novel he’s transported into as an Extra, but has none of the...

‘Magic Academy’ or ‘General Life’ Poll

Doing a poll about whether to make my story all about and in an Academy, or make it general life instead. Honestly, Academy life is easier for people to write simply because you can say all their time offscreen is doing studies. Because regardless of who they are they gotta still have their own...

    ‘Extra’ or ‘Regressor’?

I got two ideas to start my novel but I’m unsure whether to go with ‘Reader who knows the future’ or ‘Regressor who wants to save someone’. The second seems more cliché than the first one, so I’m unsure which one to go by. I liked Omniscient Reader, but I’m pretty sure the story can be written...

Writing I need to destroy everything.

That’s an interesting idea. And makes a lot of sense honestly. Will consider this choice.

Writing I need to destroy everything.

The context for the title is that I need to burn down all these ideas I’ve collected over time in my GoogleDocs into something that works. I have been trying to create a novel that can act as a prequel to another but get writing blocks. There’s always this same character backgrounds and stuff...

How Do You Love Your Own Work?

I started off and even now tend to write cool scenes from works I like… but realise now that even though I can recreate scenes, I can’t come to truly appreciate my own work like others. Even though I put so much effort and attention to detail crafting scenes, how can I hate or feel so...

How To Write Romance In Action

I’ve heard a lot about romance and action stories separately but not sure how to implement them together. I don’t want Romcom energy to be prevalent in my story but just want to blend the two genres… but forget a lot of basics easily. I know it’s kinda obvious in theory to write a romance...

Writing Don’t know how to write this

Thank you. I’m happy you read through and gave me a serious reply to my nonsensical blog post that might not be making sense. I’m not that familiar with the lines In philosophy as they tend to bleed into each other for me sometimes (I know I shouldn’t do that but it just happens). Thank you for...

Writing Don’t know how to write this

I have a story in mind but I’m not sure which audience to cater to or how. I get battle junkies into Xianxia like constant dunking on the main character overcomes his obstacles (at least in a loop every ten chapters or so), and Shoujo lovers like literally anything so long as it’s adding drama...

    Co-Writer Offer

You don’t trust discord. How come? It’s a very convenient app that allows ease with communication. Would be hard doing PM in the long term since I only use a phone.

    Co-Writer Offer

Discord me. I’m fine so long the story isn’t ‘life is a lie, god is dead and the devil has my soul, our lives our meaningless’.
