How to insult like a British?

My personal favourite, "Your dad sells Avon.' Northern English insults are my forte seeing as I'm Northern English myself. Calling someone a "fucking melt" or a "fucking weapon" are standard insults here along with slagging off a persons family members in a creative way. If all else fails and...

    The You of 2013

Physically I think I haven't changed much, well I'd like to think I haven't considering I'm now closer to 40 than 30. I'd probably be wound up by the 2013 me for being unambitious and the 2013 me would call the now me a lazy fat cow. ? We'd be very critical of each other that's for sure.

Do you write with distractions going on?

I usually write with something going on in the background. I dunno maybe I have the telly on or some music, sometimes my fiancé is playing video games or whatever. My entire life is a Weapon of Mass Distraction so I just get on with it. ?

    Daily Wins Mega Thread

I wrote today and published a chapter each for both my stories. They're not too long and probably don't make much sense but I did it. Great considering I've been struggling recently.

    Share Your Experience...

My answer would be, "how long's a piece of string?" I write like a mad woman, basically if I feel the need to write then I'll do it then straight up publish it before the desire fucks off and I'm sat telling myself I should do some writing. It takes me forever to edit and the same applies but to...

What is THE best genre to write?

I mainly write sci-fi/fantasy because it just comes easy to me. I do chuck in a bit of romance because why not? If I can make my stuff funny, wholesome, a bit weird/creepy and have a bit of lovey-dovey stuff in there then I've not completely bollocksed it all up. XD

What would you sacrifice for a superpower?

How do you write like you want to write?

I like to think my style of writing has a weird whimsy to it. But really I probably write like I've just eaten the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I'm very much a spur of the moment, unpredictable writer I guess. Like I have to write when I have the need to and I need to get it all down then...

    What Good Thing Happened Today?

I found a random aquilegia (aka Columbine) plant in my garden today, don't know where it came from and it looks nothing like the other two I have which I bought. I dug it up and stuck it in a nice pot. I'm taking it as a win because they're one of my favourite plants. ?

Have you ever-ever dream about it?

All the time. I was originally writing my stories as screenplays but I had no patience for that. Novels and stories are easier to develop in to screenplays I find personally. I was writing them from a pretty egotistical/selfish stand point though as I wrote them with myself as one of the...

What is the sickest or most horrifying thing you have written?

I've only sort of scribbled it down for reference for my sci-fi novel, not written it in yet but a while back I had an absolutely God-awful nightmare. Took me months to tell my fiancé about it because it really freaked me out and upset me. It was that bad I figured it would be a shame not to use...
