If you've seen Avatar the last airbender then I highly recommend Embers by Vathara, which has expansive world building and plot and action!!

Technically, I'm not quite sure I agree with this simply because the number of people aged above 18 number a lot more than teenage girls. AO3 is made by fandom people who are definitely not teenagers....and there are of course big name fanfic writers in various fandoms that are "old" (above 30...

When I look at my past work, I'm like, wow, past me sure writes well (and current me sure doesn't ??)

In terms of sustained writing, I can write up to ~1500 words in an hour, so 25 WPM. But in typing tests, I can get 80 WPM.

That kind of soft, slow romance, I've actually seen it most in fanfic. Since you don't have to worry about world building etc, and therefore a lot more time to properly explore the emotions and [romantic] life of the characters.... Kind of a shame that you can't "rank" genre tags to show...
