Yeah, I get the point. You lose the artist's vision and you get an industrial product which isn't great. So Marketing shouldn't be applied to art. I will remember it. I'll keep on writing the stories I want to write and try to execute them at my best.

Yeah I guess it seems counterintuitive to everything we learn as part of marketing classes. I'll write what I want I guess.

Classic High Fantasy (Tolkien, GOT, Brandon Sanderson) or Contemporary/historical Action-Paced Movies with sex scenes and a steamy romance (Ex; Gangster movies, james bond, blue night, Diane Galbadon outlander) You must love fast-paced action movies, or fast-paced thrillers books/movies.

You can look into the most recent published stories and see if there's something really innovative. Sometimes gems don't get views because they don't fully fit the tastes of the readership here.

Looks like a high quality story

It's trash and yet it received 10x the views of a fantasy story I've put my soul into. I thought about the outline, the theme, the worldbuilding, took me 2 years to write and it gets beaten by a smut story that I took 2 weeks to write. But yeah, Imagine if I put the same efforts into my smut. XD
