After writing or completing your works. Do you read them and say "Man, this MC is trash. I hope he dies" or "this woman is so damn beautiful" Or do you proofread them and get done with it and read other peoples works?

Do you include some random character who is a teacher and just put in some dialogue in the background or do you write your characters in school but arent in class and just sitting around somewhere doing something?

Do you write down what your characters are wearing during a scene in a chapter or do you proceed to write dialogue and go with the flow of story?

I've been reading a lot of great novels here and some novels really have readers that can complete a whole novel in one sitting while some have readers that are stuck in 1/latest chapter here in the statistics.

So, I've been thinking about this lately. Should the chapter start by waking up in his/her bed? Should it start with how their room looks like and take it from there? Mostly i start my chapters with dialogues. Any ideas for this?
