In my stories, I make it so that there is no real villain since, everyone is a villain in someone else's eyes. In that sense, you can make the MC go about with their goal, than have side stories/chapters that are on the other end, showing that, to them, the MC is pretty much a villain.

My stories are full of weird names, especially in my Nostalisk series. I've also read a few novels and stories with weird names. In my opinion, as long as there is an easy way to say them, weird names shouldn't be a problem.

Depends on the situation. If someone is going undercover, then yes, I'll use the name, or if I am introducing someone new who, even if they might die in the next couple of chapters, I'll also make a new name for them.
