    Pointless powerups for main character

They are best appreciated by reading. A three foot long hot-dog as thick as your bicep wouldn't actually be fun to encounter in real life.

Recommend me an obscure programming language

Braincluck and Whitespace were already taken unfortunately. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw code in Whitespace; it was so much harder to read than even Braincluck! Lisp, APL, and Cobol were too mainstream in their time, so they are on our list of "not these". I ended up picking Forth for...

Recommend me an obscure programming language

I need to pick one to write a report. Can anyone suggest some for me? Bonus scribblepoints if it has a long history of everyone hating it.

Why is no one reading my novel??

Looking at the statistics, there are only 6000 words. Don't get impatient and just keep writing. Readers will come as you accumulate more chapters.

    Sleeping during the day?

White noise can sometimes have a mixed effect on sleep. Most people find it easier to fall asleep when there is very little "total noise," and even people who can't sleep in total silence find fairly quiet spaces most restful. The point of white noise is to dampen "attention grabbing" sounds...

Underdog stories that grow to be not good.

Its a common problem of "plot driven" stories. A number of them need more filler, not less. When there's just event after battle after assassination and no downtime in between, you start to feel like you are reading an accounting log instead of something fun.

[Poll] Goodness by Choice vs. Goodness by Default

A monster is not evil. It does not understand its actions; it lives by simple instinct. It does not choose its actions, they are a string of reflexes responding to physical stimulus. A shark is not choosing evil when it bites a person's leg, it is simply hungry. It does not understand what it is...

[Poll] Goodness by Choice vs. Goodness by Default

You're just hungry. Eat a tomato and drink a glass of milk to hold you over until lunch.

[Poll] Goodness by Choice vs. Goodness by Default

All people are good. Evil is an illusion caused by fear, pain, and hunger. Someone who is hungry, afraid, or suffering in pain can be stripped of their dignity and become capable of monstrous acts. But at their core, they still are not evil. A truly evil person can exist only in fiction.
