How do characters talk with the System?

From how it is shown , I assume the character talks out loud, while the System responds via interface messages, in which case this would be perfectly fine. If the System had an actual voice, I think it would be better to write it more in line with regular characters' speech. Also the way it...

What do you expect from the final battle at the climax of the arc?

Mostly, I just expect some form of conclusion. If it's the fight between the the protagonist and the main antagonist at the climax of the ark, then at least some plot threads should get tied up and closed, whether the protagonist succeeds or fails.

    Bot Comments are Evolving

If it makes you feel better, you might not look like a payday. They just spam everyone remotely resembling a potential target, and hope some of it will stick. Clearly it's successful enough to keep going.

What is the appeal of vampires?

There you have the why. Also add that vampires are nearly universally rich (and if you are still poor after centuries, just step into the sun). I dare to disagree. Vampires are frequently part of a setting where their bite is one of few, if not the only way to gain eternal life, and by far the...

Which do you prefer, long hair or short hair?

But is your hair short, or long and fabulous?

Which do you prefer, long hair or short hair?

I don't have bangs. I split my hair and brush them back, otherwise they are long enough to comfortably reach my chest.

Writing Continue Current Story or Start Anew?

Both is good, but a finished story, even with only a few chapters, is better than a neverending or abandoned one. The drawback of course being that few chapters won't give you much exposure on recent updates, and so won't draw in as many readers on their own.

    Chapter Lengths

The general agreement seems to be on 1.5k-2.5k as optimal length, but some readers can enjoy shorter, or much longer chapters. Personally I prefer around 4k, and I have seen some claim to prefer as short as 500 words, or upwards of 6-10k.

    Bot Comments are Evolving

I do not doubt it happens, but sometimes (there has been a lot of AI slop, actually) the accusers are right. To the point of deleting their work, I have only seen it happen once myself, but that "author" was writing too much like a machine to give any credibility to their work and it happened...

Old Games! Do you still play any?

I have not played it myself, but I've heard it is as buggy as any Bethesda game, and since they supposedly decided to switch to UE5 for it for whatever reason, it also has effectively no mod support and no optimization to speak of. So good luck I suppose.

    Giving characters debilitating injuries?

It'd good to see even the main character can receive such setbacks, but if the goal requires power, it also sets the plot back by making the MC weaker, further away from the goal. Whether that is good or bad depends solely on the execution. The MC needs to revert back to fighting something that...

What is the best length for each chapter?

It's a matter of preference, but the general agreement here seems to be that 1.5-2.5k is the optimal range for webnovels, while around 1k is the bottom range.

    Do most visual novels suck?

It's been a few years since I tried it, so I do not recall how much interest they have shown from the start in it, fair.

    Do most visual novels suck?

Like everywhere popular, you have a lot of slop made by either ambitious fans, or someone trying to make quick cash. If by "Human Oatmeal" you mean bland characters without much defining characteristics, then yes, that is fairly common. It's supposed to make it easier to insert into the...

    Trilogy confusion

As mentioned before, if you're really planning a trilogy, it needs some unifying theme. If your first and last books have parody and gender-bender, then it's weird for your second book to have neither. You can have a trilogy where every book is a different genre, but you need a reason for the...

Author, should we interact with the comments?

Don't feel bad if you don't receive a reply. The comment is already a reply to your work, sort of, and the commenter might feel there is nothing left to add. There is no need to keep a conversation going just for the sake of replying.
