    The premises are wonky ... And the plot contrivance is way too obvious. Either stick to weak, or strong. Don't mix them. It never ends well. If your MC is weak, but with strong potential, then they shouldn't be weak to begin with. If they are strong, but weak, then they are just incompetent...
