I remember very vividly "rainbowing" on my snowshoes after an evil restaurant (qdoba) served dubious goods. Had to replace them because the hose was out of commission for the winter.
Also lost a fine bathroom rug that day...
I agree with melchi, though I would also like to add that some things, like Vow, are fairly self-evident and the reader can get new or further context in the actual story.

she would not be my biggest fan at first, probably a couple of threats or snide comments but once I told her all about [REDACTED] then she'd settle down for the most part, though she would have questions about the whole situation (such a curious little thing)
then we'd hang out, making fun of...
