    Fanart is generally less commercial, but it's still illegal. The only time lawsuits and action is taken is when mass production is happening illegally. Companies taking action against fan art looks much worse for them than an author taking down a light novel.

    Looking though what you've said I think this could be a problem. There don't seem to be many conflicts or opposition. He is in a position where it seems closer to a power fantasy... which can work, but not nearly as well with how dangerous of a world you're trying to make. You lack conflict...
