I wouldn't be surprised, from my perspective anime VN adaptions are probably notoriously done with the intention that the people seeing it had already seen the VN or are banking at the thought that they would want to see the VN, since I don't think I've truly seen a fleshed out VN adaption ever.

I only watched a tiny bit of the anime so I only know very little about it besides it also being in a watchmojo top ten yandere video.

You're forgetting about the advantage of numbers, if the humans are able to completely incapacitate it via blinding it's eyes or going for it's sensitive regions it's game over for it.
