:meowsip: I never said that they cannot be. It just allows little girls to hit way harder than they should be able to in a cruel, more realistic world. That aside, I would say Frieren is cheating. They tell the story after her adventure. So she is already an established character who has grown.

:blob_aww: A most common fallacy~. @Eldoria :meowsip: The issue lies in the suspension of disbelief. Local characters would never possess the knowledge or experience a reincarnation brings to the table. Reincarnations allows you to bring a set character at a younger age that would be possible.
