I read a lot growing up, heavy stuff I didn't fully understand too, so my paragraph tolerance is bag for physical books. However, reading onling is eyestraining so smaller paragraphs are preferred. Too many short sentences feels like ADHD but they are good for emphasis and fast pacing.
