    Lingua Witch's Academy

OOC: Can we assume that the academy has a spell testing room? Or just that the academy has places for the witches to socialize? Actually, are there any established canon spots? (Headmaster, Professors etc.)

Worst writing advice that actually makes you laugh

That still conformed to rules of your world aka 'imagination can make reality'. Sense, in this case, is not what is physically possible, but what is consistent. Sure it's weird and somewhat unbelievable, but it still have some sense in it.

    Writing numbers.

Not saying that number is out-right bad; it's a matter of style more than anything. I used numbers, but generally tried to avoid them for vagueness and also for easiness when writing a story. It allowed for flexible composition and gave rooms for the readers' imagination. Interestingly enough...

    Writing numbers.

It is better to write the number out, as the brain like a good flow of letters; anything not letter destroyed that flow. Of course, I preferred not to specify a number at all; after all, imagination and vagueness are good for the story.

Writing How to write a badass fight?

What kind of badassery do you want to create, then? I think that there are many ways to write a scene, but we needed some basic information down first to know which is the best utilised. For me, when I did a group fight(2vs2,2vs4), I usually did it almost turn-based; the trick is to make it...

    Otherworld Message Board

Can I assume that your civilization has reach type II of the Kardashev Scale? It seemed to be going on quite well. I hope for your success; or simply, I hope that your civilization wouldn't find the existence of any hostile type IIIs. PS: The invasion was not under my will; however, war is a...

Will vibrations be felt in a tunnel from a mech battle above ground?

10 meters tall doesn't mean measly 10 times the weight because of square cubes laws. If we scaled their agility up to the standard of human, then their punch would packed tons of energy, scary amounts of energy.

Your world should be the upper tier of High-energy Density Dimension; in the layman term for my world, a great treasure trove worth invading. PS: :blob_hmm: Oh we do have these things; I think it was called Emoji in the Information Age.

A literary agent's advice on how to write and how to getting picked up by publishers

it's quite sad actually that some of the greatest authors always lived their life in misery and perpetual poverty. Imagine died thinking that their works were worthless, only to be honoured decades later.

A literary agent's advice on how to write and how to getting picked up by publishers

literally every masterpiece pioneering book was rejected by every publisher because they were not 'mainstream'. Well, either you get paid for mediocrity or risk it all to become rich.

Alternative AG testing thread - A troubleshooting discussion and experiment

That's why I suggested a side-wide monthly event that the players could choose to participate or not. However, I personally think that due to the limitless open-worldness of Probos, it was not necessary to have an overarching plot.

A literary agent's advice on how to write and how to getting picked up by publishers

I know that you needed to make your first sentence hooked the agent and is generic in nature, or they simply dropped it, as they couldn't be bothered to read anything unique and controversial, or just anything slow-burn in general. The company wanted not a hit-or-miss masterpiece, but a generic...
