The scale of time in fantasy stories

Yea, time is bonkers in fantasy fiction stories, beefed up with no real purpose except to make things sound impressive. You could easily chop a zero of the end of most of the numbers they throw out and it would still be on the large side.

Add dumb protagonist tag, or shounen-style protagonist tag

There's both dense protagonist and naive protagonist, but I agree, i'd like a stupid protagonist as well. I definately think it would be a good one for comedies. Oh well. I guess for now we just have to pick the better out of dense and Naive. Theres also forgetful protagonist... But ye, I want...

    Pick your bounty

Ah, friend, you've arrived safely. I'm so glad. As you know, we at camp ORIGIN strive to resist these "isekaied" tyrants who corrupt our nation's wellbeing and morals. After much reconnaissence, we have discoved the total number of these individuals to be four, but each with their own powerful...

Which story tag immediately put you off a story?

So all I do is read off my filters when finding stories? Easy. Adult, Drama, Gender-Bender, Girls-love, Boys-love, Fanfiction, Harem, Smut, Polygamy, Polyandry Huh? technically only two of these are tags, the rest are genres. oh well.

Writing [Tutorial] When the Hero is NOT a Hero - Protagonist & Antagonist: A Different Opinion

But then, by your definition, Ishmael is a main character of Moby- isn't he the main ally? But you also seem insistant to say he isn't. Regardless, that isn't really my problem. Boiling everything down, I think you are saying that, traditionally, the term "protagonist" was used to denote the...

Matriarchy Vs. Patriarchy in world building.

I don't see why this would be unique to matriliniarity? If blood is "passed down" through descendants, then why would it matter if its passed down from the mother's side or the father's side?

    Your Favorite Jade Beauty

I want to see a novel where someone is described as being a jade beauty, only for the author to mean it literally because her skin is pale green.

How brutal should your character's backstop be?

Tragic backstories are for edgy teens. Just forget about one and write the story.

What do you do when you hate a core part of your story?

In terms of "story mechanics", I really hate time travel. The way I've seen it used doesn't make sense most of the time, fullstop. However, I myself have often thought about writing stories with regressors (I mean, how would I write a story with regressors?) I came to the conclusion that if I...

Your Opinion on Western/Westernized Cultivation Novels

My apologies for continuing to drag this offtopic, but... a quick google search suggests the norse gods were not considered immortal. Nor ageless, even. Hence its perfectly fine for them to die at ragnarok because they are mortal, even though we call them "gods"

Your Opinion on Western/Westernized Cultivation Novels

I have never seen immortal defined like this before, nor used like this before.

Your Opinion on Western/Westernized Cultivation Novels

I don't really know what "westernising" a cultivation novel looks like. Though I don't really care as long as the worldbuilding and plot is good. I'd like some effort put into the stories I read, and some thought process as well. My most recent nitpick is how the term "Immortal" is used...

What is a Hero? & Do you think the Hero's journeys is outdated? (The Lounge Podcast)

I've never considered a hero to go on a journey; or more accurately, rarely. Especially not a journey in a metaphorical sense. To me, a hero is someone who's already completed, or near the end of the journey. They've grown as much as they can, or maybe they just have the last stretch to go. A...

Im begging, no im STARVING for feedbacks

I notice you use a hyphen at the start of a paragraph to explain terminology. I would advise against this. If things need explaining, use a normal paragraph to do so. Feel free to take time explaining things that need to be explained, just be careful not to make it into an info-dump. Speaking...

    Stories You Want to See

There is one story I thought about writing, but Probably won't; A S.O.L cultivation story. I mean, a proper s.o.l. The story would start and by the time it ends, maybe the mc would move up about one "stage" in whatever the power system is there, but no more. It would be a story that really...
