When the game starts off as well. You are shown a Death End. This is a clue for when you reach the part of the game. In short, it is telling you to prepare far ahead of time.
Death End ReQuest 2, the more people you save the more scenes you unlock. Though, they do not affect the ending. It is just something extra.
However, there are multiple ends you can get based on if you lose the first round of the final battle or not.
The True End is if you win the first round...
A world plagued by bugs, and another lifeform that watches over countless worlds, acting more like dictators. Erasing worlds that are failures, this being towards their utopia.
As for the general premise. Death End ReQuest. It follows how the characters continuously die until they break out of the cycle.
Hence the Death Ends. It is hard to describe without spoiling it. Think of it more as a failed world that is barely surviving due to its resets, and is only narrowly...
Exception is for I believe Chapter 4, where you have to round back to get something and turn it in.
Anyway, completing these opens extra scenes. Which then allows you to access the EX True End.
Very unlikely to miss if you do everything.
Yep, just know. For the first game, complete I believe 20 quests before Chapter 9 I think it was. If you don’t do this, you lock yourself out of the True End.
Quests are very simple, and this is insanely unlikely to miss.
Oh right, if you are gonna play Death End ReQuest 2 on Steam. Download AutoHideMouseCursor.
A patch was never applied to fix this, which causes the mouse to constantly appear the middle of the screen. The app hides this, solving whatever issue the game had.
A saving grace the second game did was allow you to save at any point. First game, there are many times you cannot save at a scene.
And if you get a Death End in the first game. You have to go through all that again.
I’d recommend the Death End series and Noel the Mortal Fate. Noel the Mortal Fate is divided into seasons, so you’ll have to buy them all.
Should be able bundle buy them though.
Death End series is more complex. As it combines actual gameplay into the VN, hence it is pretty long.
Story wise, a game that would tie Noel the Mortal Fate would be Absented Age 1 and 2. Though, this is more close to Story Rich, but bordering on the line of VN I’d say.
