While it's disappointing when an author stops his work halfway, I think I find it more disappointing if his work drops in quality. I'd rather read half a story and be left with good memories of it than read an entire story with conflicting feelings at the end of it.

If you look at normal female-oriented webnovels, a lot of them tend to lean a lot on the drama side with divorce, cheating, single parent, ect. It's just in a woman's interest to make life as difficult as possible for everyone else, including their own fictional characters.
