    Does chapter size matter?

Yes size matters. To little and very few will want it, to big and it can overwhelm too many and they will run away.

    tips on writing isekai'd nations

I loved living in Italy. Ok, most people are addressing the political side of stuff. Is this the Country including land going over, or just the people? Because either makes a big difference, in the 1930's to 1940's Italy is still a very agrarian nation. Which can be an advantage. Now one major...

The money making problem in VRMMORPGs

Pretty much, it was a fantastic world at the time. But no real controls over the stuff that happened.

The money making problem in VRMMORPGs

In the case of early Runscape, there were "masks" that could hide ones identity and no names above anyone's head. I remember getting ganked by the US Presidents; Ford, Carter, Reagan and Washington. It turned me off to Runescape as I was a solo player just getting into MMORPG's and did not have...

The money making problem in VRMMORPGs

Runescape originally had PvP everywhere, so yes you could even be ganked in town, and the PK'ers would get away fast enough the town guards could not get them. People would camp outside dungeons or choke points in the land to gank people. Worse were the ones who would kill your pets and animals...

The money making problem in VRMMORPGs

Ahem, as someone who has earned money through RMT (World of Warcraft and Diablo) before. I will only talk about real world present day (Or a decade or two ago actually) transactions. Diablo was a grind fest and to really make money you needed bots and/or a lot of luck. If you had 4 accounts set...

    Dropping a Story

Or not necessarily changes wildly but unrealistically in the view of the reader. Or adds a something to the story that might fit the story, but is not something you are comfortable with (Such as MC having sex with a 12-13 year old in a story).

    I missed the lockdowns

But is it better than it was in 1975? Or even 1985? Things happen in a cycle, up and down. But things still have improved over decades for most in the world. I am simply going to disagree.

    I missed the lockdowns

Life is 100% better in 2022 then it was in 1975. Progress is not only in technology, but in social reforms. Even Russia and 3rd world countries are "better". Is it "there" yet in all countries everywhere, no, but it is better, and 1975 was better than 1950 which was better than 1925. I lived...

    I missed the lockdowns

First part is more of a progressive stance then a "rich" stance. Everything you have an issue with in the sentence was a liberal progressive globalization stance. The rich just took advantage of it, it is how the rich become rich. China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, Mexico and so...

    I missed the lockdowns

Actually the inequity was always there, it sort of did not get "bigger" except in first world countries. The inequity has been growing since the first world countries "Globalized" their blue collar work to other counties. The more the globalization happened the greater the wealth inequity in the...

What is with parents abusing children in stories to make them better?

Yeah, My main issue when the child in question should not be able to cope physically in anyway, older than 5 maybe, but under? Not if its a human child, no matter how OP. Had to re edit as it was two sentences inside one and I had not removed the second one to make what I said clearer.

What is with parents abusing children in stories to make them better?

Oh and by children being abused I am specifically talking about 1-7 Year old learning to fight and kill. One story a 1 year old must run from his grandfather to get into a house every day, or lose his privilege to eat lunch, getting stabbed as part of the "training".

Yeah but seeing "good" parents doing it in stories just irks me.

What is with parents abusing children in stories to make them better?

Why do so many Isekai stories have child abuse disguised as "training"? It is not how real effective training of anyone child or not works. Some training programs use high stress training to weed out people during the training period. But it is not part of skills training. It is used to test...
