Pretty much. People don't review much here. Review swapping is basically non-existent. Different site culture, and also there is no incentive to do it or for the Author to ask for it. You can search for other Review Swap threads, but you won't find much swapping.

Depends. I love to read, so stories with clear good and bad guys are fun, stories where everything is in shades of grey are fun, stories with a bunch of normal dudes, etc. They can be harder to write, depending if the sides are conflict with each other, which can lead to worse quality if not...

(For stories I'm reading for the first time) Not really. I have done it, but it's rare occurrence for me to do. The story needs to be long and boring for me to even consider doing it. But a bad mood can go a long way in wanting to skip some chapters.

It varies. Usually it is the character or their power. (Or both). I started ideas, using all of those different starts. But usually it is the character or a powerset I want a character to have.

I slowly been writing reviews, partly because there have been occasion where my decision to read a story has been whether the reviews seem interesting. Saying that, I'm pretty bad at reviews, pretty much "Hey I liked it", "This was neat", "Give it a try if the X, Y, Z seem interesting". But...
