Minimum words
I write about 2k in drafts then compress them down to
500-700 words for pilot chapters (when you have a new idea and want to test how much appeal it has)
1500-800 words for normal chapters. And I don't update daily.
Why do I do this? (Personal views, no offence)

Cliches are plot points in stories that make the story progression predictable for the reader. You can see what going to happen next, and often proved right.
These plot points are used, recycled, and repacked so much that you come across them more than often.
