Should I continue writing a story that's been left in the dust for a month or so?

Well, in truth, this was my second time abandoning it. The first time I abandoned it was in June, for around 2 weeks. I was busy studying for exams(it got delayed because of Corona), there was no one reading it, and I felt a deep regret in writing the first few chapters. Now that I've done it...

Should I continue writing a story that's been left in the dust for a month or so?

I've written this story for around 2 months, but I stopped writing it. It's currently been a month or so since I've stopped writing it. There were many factors, I'm just gonna talk about the 3 biggest ones. One of them was that I didn't like the way I wrote the beginning chapters, I thought that...

Any insecurities you authors have about your novels?

    Nice self-promotion there ;)

Any insecurities you authors have about your novels?

Yeah me too, sometimes I just blank out. The story just goes smoothly in my head, but when I try to word it out, it comes out as stiff and repeated. After publishing, I'd suddenly remember all of these different phrases and wordings that I could've used.

    You might not believe me...

Heck yeah bro! I'm the same as well. My dreams are weird and if I ever have a fever dream, it's even weirder. These dreams are movie worthy stuff and are so very epic that they could be made as masterpieces. Like, each time I have these dreams, I always wake up in a gloryful mood. It's like I...

Any insecurities you authors have about your novels?

Exactly! I'm from Indonesia and we have more than 700 local languages and 1 national language. My local language is Manadonese and it's very different compared to the national language, which is Indonesian. The problem with the education system in Indonesia is that they force you to learn the...

Any insecurities you authors have about your novels?

Same, having the ability to speak other languages than English definitely hinders the grammar and word choice. Even for bilingual people, it's hard enough for them to manage both languages. English is my third language, and so it's a bit hard to find the right words in English without thinking...

Any insecurities you authors have about your novels?

    Says the guy who don't capitalize the word "I". ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Any insecurities you authors have about your novels?

It can be anything, i.e., not having decent grammar, bad word choice, and etc. I for sure have a lot, but my most prominent insecurity of my novel is amateurish writing. So I'm a bit curious if other authors have any.

What's the Appeal of Cultivation, Wuxia, and LitRPG stories?

An Isekai's main attraction for me, is how the MC interacts with his surroundings and people. Plus, fantasy's kind of a drug for me, I'm addicted to it. And ever since I've been exposed to Isekais, I've been gobbling up Isekai animes, mangas, and LNs/WNs, left and right like a drug addict...

Is it normal for readers to not favourite your chapter?

Ouch, that's a jab right into the feels. Cause I do that.

Is it normal for readers to not favourite your chapter?

Well, at least you have 49 favourites from other people. Mine is only a mere 1.6k overall views, and 16 favourites of which 15 of them are mine, and I've been writing this novel for around 3 months(I took a 1 and a half month of break, so maybe that's the reason). In a sense, it's pretty...

Is it normal for readers to not favourite your chapter?

Same, me too. Even though I talk about novels with my IRL friends, I never talked about my own creations. It feels too risky to talk about it with your IRL friends in many ways.

Is it normal for readers to not favourite your chapter?

Welp, just as you said that, someone gave my novel a 3 star rating with no explanation. My heart feels pain.

Is it normal for readers to not favourite your chapter?

Ouch, that hurts a bit, since there's no one commenting on my novel.

Is it normal for readers to not favourite your chapter?

Yeah, even when someone gives you a 4 star rating it already hurts.

Is it normal for readers to not favourite your chapter?

Ah, I see. Not gonna lie, it was pretty disheartening when I saw no one favouriting my chapters. Since when I was writing on other websites such as Wattpad and Royal Road, people usually do favourite my chapters, even if it's only 4 or 5 people.
