a villain is usually the antithesis of the hero. so if your hero has high morals, compassion and a sense of justice (basically superman) your villain should be the opposite, so they have little to no morals, are apathetic and has no sense of justice. ie (Lex luthor).

I guess that's fair. Personally, I prefer harsh (Not malicious) feedback. I feel like those people are the ones who are most invested in the story and want it to succeed as much as possible. But I have to admit. It does hurt to hear someone point out all the flaws in your work.
