If he doesn't have access to healing magic, so whenever he takes damage that won't simply heal over time, he basically starts to animate his own body. And now he can use necromantic magic to fix those part of him. But when some of his humans part get hurt in another battle... well.. he can keep...

How to add links to my book below my forum posts?

It should be simply count under your account stuff. On PC it looks like this: Then you use the signature editor, provide a link to the story (copy the URL). You can copy the URL of the thumbnail too, if you want to show the art of the novel, instead of a simple text string.

Name of MC you used to think of as "really cool".

I gave characters all sorts of fancy names I thought were cool when I was younger. Keiko, for a AI/automata in Cyberpunk, because clearly Japanese names are great? Jadel, for a Bard in UO, because naming after precious gem is beautiful. Solstice, for an angel, because picking a noun as a name...

What Do You Dislike About Isekai-Reincarnation Stories?

No, it is not. Isekai is literally the term for "other world". Shield Hero is summoned, it's still an Isekai. It's Portal Fantasy by another name. I suppose modern Isekai have a ton of typical tropes, like LitRPG interface, cheat skills, OP protagonists harems, adventuree guilds, etc. But...

To be fair, those are amazing names.

What Do You Dislike About Isekai-Reincarnation Stories?

No Longer Allowed in Another World is a pretty interesting take about that. 1) Middle-aged MC 2) Suicidal author, but kept failing his attempts 3) Truck-kun to the rescue 4) Not interested in being the MC 5) Still obsess to reconnect with the woman from his previous world he was trying to...

It's always smut with you people!!!!!

I am ace/gray-aro. I can read smut, but it generally doesn't do much for. I include romantic relationships, plan to test them, and have new ones created during my story, because I understand partially the appeal. But smut? I would probably never able to write anything beyond cuddling or hand...

    Childhood Arcs In Isekai

Given how much I love Ascendance of a Bookworm, I really don't mind childhood arcs. I don't super like when the year0 part is stretched out too much. I also dislike when a character who now 16, but was clearly someone else for many years prior their death, just totally act like a native of...

    hi, I'm new here

I have a bunch of tags that haven't come into play in my draft yet, and I am up to chapter 82. Only like 36 are published for now, and I haven't heard a single complain about it. I think it really depends what you're doing with the chapters that comes before, and how well you're keeping your...

    Success for Anonymity?

By the way, your question is a critical subplot of Light from Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki. Violinist did a deal with the devil for success. Riches, fame, etc. Trades in a number of souls (her students) in exchange. Also part of the deal: nobody can link her music to her anymore.

    I Like Interesting Novel Titles

I always have a wave of shame when I give out a title as a recommendation, and the name is like 2 sentence long. I am clearly not the targer, given the trends. But I like short snappy names, even if they don't say what the book is about at all. Like Fire, Seasparrow or Bitterblue from the...

    Success for Anonymity?

I don't write for money, but if Ghostwriting meant I got cash, and my story got told and was wildly popular? Sure. Sign the deal. That's good enough for me. I am a Roadie of the game industry. Nobody looks at the games I made and think of Clo's part in making it happen. I still did my part...

What Do You Dislike About Isekai-Reincarnation Stories?

Yeah, I agree. Often the Isekai is just the inciting element, and then you get a classic Hero's Journey. I want a story about being Isekai'd. Not what happens after. I mean, I watch them, and they're fun. But they're fantasy epics with a fish-out-of-water protagonist. Been there, seen that.

    I Like Interesting Novel Titles

My novel titles are all pretty bland taken on their own. Their name make sense when you have them all of them together. I personally laugh at stupid names, but I prefer the short, snappier titles "Demon Lord Rimuru" Vs "The day I was reincarnated as a slime" But one says what it's the tin...

    Your opinion about plagiarists/scrappers, sites?

My story is a story I wanted to tell, and I want it to be read or heard. If someone likes it enough to pretend they wrote it, and claim credit? The story still gets told. If a site republishes it to get their own traffic out of it? Cool, it's already free on two websites. Add a third or fourth...

How many races do you have?

I have 12 playable ones (available to the protagonists), but they're split it in 6 big families, each with 2 takes on it. Humans (normal vs beefy), Dragons (human-like or dragon-like), Bunnies (human-like or bunny-like), Cats (human-like or cat-like), Elves (tolkienesque or anime-style)...

    Best pov for fantasy novels?

Ah, I write like that. I tend to stick to one point of view per chapter, and wouldn't count that as head hopping, personally. If the narrator is 3rd limited and change in the middle of a paragraph or chapter (without obvious indication, like a section marker), I would think we're using...

    Best pov for fantasy novels?

I struggle with present tense stories, and first person stories. But mostly, I can't write them. At all. I will read it if it's good, but I think I see more tense slips with that style than any other.
