"Syetoria Archive - Begin and End 1 - The Cosmos" (Have I gone too far?)

It's not about the length, it's about the pacing. You have long passages with a lot of text without any interesting info in it. There are people who can write 10k words about science and make it sound interesting and entertaining. With this - and honestly, it might just be because I work with...

"Syetoria Archive - Begin and End 1 - The Cosmos" (Have I gone too far?)

Honestly, to me it is in a weird state between fun fictional and actual science. You use terms and descriptions from real science, but due to inconsistencies, my brain just sees it as plain wrong. I honestly would agree with the suggestion to not use terms people might know for different stuff...

Maybe this is the first Scribble Hub novel made into a game.

I think we getting a bit off-track, but whatever... If you saw something and want to criticize it based on that, then do that. I didn't see or read anything about either the game or the novel. So yeah, writing something mean just for the sake of it isn't for me. If I want such toxicity, I use...

Maybe this is the first Scribble Hub novel made into a game.

I just didn't say anything about the quality at all. Neither positive nor negative. I didn't read one word so why would I need to be a dick and criticize the novel just for the sake of it?

Maybe this is the first Scribble Hub novel made into a game.

From what I see on the facebook page, it counts the "win" of the RR writathon (like NaNoWriMo). At least, there are no other mentions on the facebook page about anything else... Also it is weird that it is a SH novel made into a game, when the game existed before the novel was even published on...

How much money before you turn full-time?

Given my age and responsibilities, the income would have to more or less equal what I would do in a lower level dayjob + a percentage above so that I could save up for times where I would have to change back from writing or have a low income month. In the end, 1.5k would probably be the minimum...

    Site pirating books from Scribblehub

Anything that is used to block bots with some hope of success will make the reading experience for the reader worse. Or make it really hard to find the stories at all. It's not worth the time to be angry about it or try to do anything against it...

Dumb question was I trending recently?

Good for you. Seems like you found your target audience =) I failed for years and will continue do so in the future :ROFLMAO:

Dumb question was I trending recently?

People with the "famous author"-title have no right no call themselves wannabe or noob! :blob_catflip:

What's a good way to start a story?

Start with a chapter that contains both the atmosphere and the overall theme of your story. - E.g., if you have an action story about battles in a fantasy world, start with a battle and bring up the reincarnation later. Or start with a battle in the real world and introduce the MC before he...

Writing How to write a description of things in motions like chain reactions for a story?

Although it has to be said, that electron volt is only the usualy used notation. The actual "smallest unit" (unit as in "size") is many, many times smaller than electron volt.

Writing How to write a description of things in motions like chain reactions for a story?

What do you want to achieve? Something fun to read or something that sounds more like a lab report? After my first look at it, I would probably try to use "a scientist's diary" rather than a lab report.

    Just finished my novel.

Good job! Over 100k words is impressive. As long as you don't mind more harsh criticism, you should post it on as many sites as possible. You'll get more readers, more feedback, and sometimes even that one really motivated reader that writes a review or will follow your other stuff as well.

    Tips for Handling Tables?

BB-Code and similar editors mostly don't support colspan and rowspan and your table isn't possible without that. Instead, just use two tables. One 1x3 with header and footer. And then add a second one in the middle cell with 2x1 (Or 2x? if you want to make it easier to align the comments on the...

Writing How to write a description of things in motions like chain reactions for a story?

There was an interesting podcast episode I listened to a few weeks ago about how puppetry and writing share a lot of ideas and how some concepts of ideas of puppetry can used in writing. The core idea was that a puppet on stage has a really limited range of motions it can do (no facial...

    Site pirating books from Scribblehub

Don't publish stuff online for free if you want to sell it afterwards. And if you want to sell stuff you published online, edit and rework it and that will become the reason people will buy your book. But the moment you put your stuff out in the open, it'll stay in the open. Just accept it and...

How to get back into writing fast?

Just do it. Honestly, the longer you think about starting or what the best way of starting is or whatever, the more reasons you'll find to start later. If you want to go back to writing, then open your story, re-read the last chapter, and then start writing the next one. It's the same as...

Writing I feel like I may have made a mistake

The "usual standard" is between 1.5k and 2k words/chapter. It's a number also often used for traditional publishing, because "for the average readers" that length is the usual "potato chip"-length. The usual "just one more" followed by "Oh, it's morning". If your chapters are shorter, they...
