Well, a lot of my readers stopped reading when the first tragedy hit my MC. Not exactly main characters, but they're characters my readers have been attached to.

Write whatever you want. Don't let your readers decide what you should write.

Possibly exception being if you got a Patreon where your readers actually pay to read your work. I have one now and even though it's still nowhere near as profitable as the big authors around here, I do feel that obligation to write from them. But if you're doing it for free, then do whatever...

I disagree with this. I don't write because "I might improve so I can write better later on". I write because I want to write. Even if it means taking on a massive plotline that can go up to a million words. If the public deems it not good enough, then I'll just stop writing. I'm a hobbyist not...

I don't know whether my harem story has waifu wars, but people do have their own preferences. Though so far, there's only two girls that are the most popular. The big sister and the ojou-sama character. :s_tongue:

I don't know if there are any actual girls reading my story but one of my readers said I could appeal more to the girl audience if I give more spotlight to the harem members since according to him, they're all strong and well-developed characters in their own right.
