Currently I'm just playinf around with it and seeing what works. What I'm doing is similar how English has a lot of French words. But in this case, it's French with a lot of Japanese words. With r pronounced like a d, w like v, and e like an oo. And a few other differences.

Yea I'm not terribly surprised by that. Grim stuff, even for people who used to write horror.

I have mixed feelings about historical fiction. On one hand I really want to meet Ann Frank, and key figures. And yet, in general the biggest difference between Dark Fantasy and Historical fiction, some element of it really happened. And that's always tended to make it feel more depressing.

Well I decided to ahead and try out sequential art in the way I always wanted to, rather than going with a style some random people on Tapastic or Inkblazers necessarily approves of. Even if that means drawing full illustration sized drawings, and scaling it down to panel size.

    Least Favorite but Common Tropes?

I think I know the Cyberpunk book you mean, but I'll read it to make sure I'm not misjudging it. I'm not saying kids can't read dark stuff, but please ... keep the spirit of Cyberpunk.

Don't you love it when you discover something that can improve your art style, and you just hadn't noticed it? In this case, it's doing background art for comics. I'm realizing how useless deviantart tutorials are now.

    Spam Hate

I feel like people complaining about book covers is related. I've had to outright mute people on Twitter that only complain about book covers, without really know how a book cover works. What it ends up coming across is jelous men that don't have anything tangible to critique, so they just...

    Least Favorite but Common Tropes?

Also Punk everything. This didn't use to bother me, but not everything set in Victorian England or Wild West has to be Steampunk. All the people grafting onto Punk genres to try to make it Family Friendly has made it impossible to really take the "punk" aesthetic seriously, when punk fiction...

We All Know Character Progression Is Important

Ah so I may have went about it the wrong way then. Nadine had to adapt to the fact that not only did she have her "dark half" emotionally manipulating her, but also the merging of the game world with the real world. So much of the plot was her coming to terms with this "desire", which is...
