    Rebuilding Democracy in Another world

Democracy is highly unstable historically. Republics and Democracies tend to devolve into tyranny within a few hundred years. It's also real hard to actually "convince" people to become democratic. It takes big time war most of the time. Any isekai worth it's salt that implements democracy...

Proof that multiple highly popular authors are botting to boost view counts

My hope is that someday, between now and when they turn 25 (and their brain has fully developed), that they cringe at their comments more than I cringe at their comments.

Proof that multiple highly popular authors are botting to boost view counts

Is your argument here that some stories have managed to become more popular than yours so they cheated?

Proof that multiple highly popular authors are botting to boost view counts

On rereading your post, you do realize that the bottom of that graph is date, not hours right? They get between 10k and 16k views a day, not an hour.

Proof that multiple highly popular authors are botting to boost view counts

I'm not sure I get what is "proof" here? 5.5k readers. Figure only 1 in 5 people make an account, posts 1 or 2 times a week would be between 25000 and 50000 views for just the dedicated readers. For the new readers there is almost 500 chapters to binge over a week which easily makes up the...

Looking for examples / tip for a chaotic war/battle scenes

When I write battle scenes, I envision myself in the scene and write what I mentally envision. The full on war battle in my story won't publish for free until the beginning of April though (and I don't claim that it is particularly well written). There are 2 ways to write it though. First...

    So, about neg reviews...

I've only ever reported a single review (on royalroad) and given how negative an attitude people have about RR, I didn't expect anything. In 2 days it was taken down. The issue I took with the review was that the person's review basically described the tags that my story has (isekai, slice of...

Where do you guys usually promote your stuff?

On SH I just have my story in my signature. On RR I've run 2 ad campaigns since the readership over there was lagging behind SH.

    When to add Kofi/Patreon/Paypal?

I started mine up not long after I started my story. It started out with 2/4/6 chapters ahead on the $2/$5/$10 tier. No one thought that was worth it (and I agree). Over time I slowly built up more and more chapters ahead, I'm now at 8/16/24 chapters ahead with 19 patrons (and I owe another...

    When to add Kofi/Patreon/Paypal?

You can put it up whenever. The only downside is you'll need to inform readers when you add more rewards to it.

    Outlines

There are varying degrees of outlining. I never outline my chapters directly, but I do outline. My outlines involve the whole story, and each volume. A checklist of events and points that are to occur. Everything else is improv. Of course, I have some experience DMing for D&D and so that...

How Should I Go About Rebooting My Work?

Two options here, and it really depends on the original work. IF the original work is fairly popular (300+ readers), then you should just continue writing from where you left off. The reason for this is that you've got an established base of readers who will not care to re-read your story...

how to reach more people to read my novel

People fixate too much on write the popular genres. Its partially luck and partially making your writing appealing in general. If the story isn't relatable, comparable, or entertaining, that's the bigger problem. Everyone always shills for quantity, but quality is much more important. Also...

What other novels were you inspired by for your current WIP(s)?

When I first thought up the basic premise it was 11 years ago and I was reading Re:Monster. Since then it's been inspired by other series, such as isekai nonburi and Dr.Stone. The premise hasn't actually changed much from 11 years ago, but those series success gave me the confidence that my...

    Woohoo! I've been plagiarized!

Not sure if you're in the US, but in the US the second you publish either physically or digitally, your story is copyrighted, you don't need to apply for any protections under the law, you just get it by default. Trademarks apply to logos and designs and copyrights apply to stories (in the US)...

How to explain a magic power system?

Yup. If the magic system is really interesting and unique, the readers will still pick up on it. The only reason to lecture readers about the magic system is if your characters are actively researching the magic system. Otherwise you are actively breaking immersion to talk about irrelevant...
