I like resurrection if it either brings back a character whose arc isn't finished or contributes to a character's arc (not necessarily the one that was revived). It's like a sequel.
More like you don't have to explain what the attacks can do. Absolutely describe what they are doing, but if the attacks aren't actively ripping apart reality, don't say that they can.
Unironically, in the right context that could make me cry. Lines that sound stupid to someone who hasn't read a story can be very emotionally charged to someone who understands the significance.
I think death of a character, if done well, can be amazing and even draw me deeper into a story, even if it was my favorite character. On the other hand, it can be done in poor taste or even be meaningless. That's when it starts to push me away.
