    Tags tags tags

Because of this: https://forum.scribblehub.com/threads/tag-dictionary-list.925/ And this I started the google sheets. Quoting myself here: Edit: For the love of all that is sacred, DON'T SCREW WITH THE SHEETS. Don't mess it up and remove tags or add ones you think are convenient. This...

    Tag Dictionary/List

Anyone interested to help and add stuff, I started this google sheets doc. As in just now. Finished with tags under letter 'A'. If interested to make a list for a new letter, just start with a new sheet under the same document I guess. SH Tags

    Fun New Idea: Watermarking Chapters

Any publishing, period. I used to read stories from an author that couldn't publish her stories due to a technicality in her country when she found her stories were plagiarized. Don't know what happened since but that was a few years ago. She might have found a work around about it by now. I...

    Your first Novel SHOULD Suck

And your second, and your third, and your fourth. Hey, it could happen that successive stories are just so bad a little something inside you dies. It's okay though. My journey as a writer (RIP old stories. You shall never see the light of day again) is paved with heartache. Especially when...

Writing in First Person Before Switching to Third

Already did. Not my cup of tea. At the end of the day, I'll leave it up to the author to choose the best POV they need to tell a story. The thing is, it's an actual style for some authors to go omniscient. It takes finesse, true, but it's been used by authors for a while now. As a writer, I...

A Summary Option For Each Chapter?

Hard no for me. Why would I encourage readers to not read more since a summary is readily available?

@Cascadian I'm about the same. The way I see it, if teens that young can read my novel, I think the older crowd will have no complaints...unless the story is really bad.

@Cascadian You could try it here: https://www.webfx.com/tools/read-able/ There are others out there but that's one of them. Just copy and paste the content of your chapter into the text box and let it calculate.

    What’s your origin story?

In a roundabout way, there's already a thread about this: https://forum.scribblehub.com/threads/what-lead-you-to-this-point.1345/#post-25122

    Fun New Idea: Watermarking Chapters

Some? All aggregator sites I've seen are literally copy pastes and have no form of link back to original sites. They even copy paste translator notes/author notes. They do not care. At all.

    Fun New Idea: Watermarking Chapters

I remember a web author being able to defend her work by subtly changing the letter 'i' every few words. The font change was subtle. If you didn't know about it, you wouldn't really notice it. She knew the number of changed 'i's though so it was a slap in the face to the pirate. But...

Ever tried testing the readability of a chapter you wrote? Found out mine is 'fairly easy to read' which I find to be a relief.

    Writing Prompt D&D-like Story

This is asking for too much, I think. As Phantom said, this will take too much time. Plus, it sounds like you want to be one of the characters instead of the actual DM. You're basically requesting for someone to take lead on a very heavy world-building task and ride along with it. There was a...
