the best way to do it is actually making a serious story with comic relief, if its purely comedy nobody is gong to read it nowadays. unless its a short four panel comic or something... written comedy is incredibly unpopular

why even go that far? just write what you want to write instead of doing all of this, you're going to get bored of your own project before you even start writing the actual story

this happens mostly because of the need to extend the novels infintely for money, however i've read short cultivation stories that actually do make higher realm cultivators rarer, but even more influential in the entire world
