Small number of large books for me, but I'm not too picky on word counts. I am picky on genres, though, so there's that.

I've tried many different kinds: Google Docs, RichTextEdit (RTF), NeoOffice, LibreOffice, Pages, Microsoft Word, but right now I'm using RichTextEdit (RTF), Google Docs, and Pages. I use RichTextEdit for rough-drafting, Google Docs for editing/revising, and Pages to keep track of word count.

When not writing/reading, eating, shitting/pissing, doing errands/chores, etc., I walk around to keep my joint lubricated and in working order.

If there's no improvement in the MC's abilities to resolve the situation (s)he's in, what's the point of the story? There has to be something improving. It can't just be a traumatizing fuck-fest of self pity.
