To the best of my knowledge: Either would work, and you can mix their use.

Name a trope or genre you wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole in your writing

I can't offhand think of any genre/trope that I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole-- that implies to me I wouldn't even lightly engage with the idea to examine or deconstruct it? Basically everything people have mentioned so far, I've written at least a little that touched on it. I've written...

What do you think about that?

It's good to know what works for you, and it's good to try out different strategies of motivation to learn what works for you! That said, personally this wouldn't work for me at all-- I'm not going to post on social media at large before I try something at all, but checking in on plausibility...

    Readers..

Welcome! I couldn't tell them apart, and that's a part of why it confused me-- but there were the other reasons I listed that it confused me as well. It was very hard for me to follow the narrative in general. Of course, this is just my read of it-- take all feedback with a grain of salt...

    Readers..

Structural stuff for interacting with Scribblehub. 1. Don't upload chapters more than once/day-- algorithm will eventually think you're spamming. I think you can go like 8 or 12 hours apart, but if you do it right in a row you won't get as much visibility. 2. Might be worth putting the "body...

Wish to takeover work on hiatus

I'd concur with just doing a fanfic-- as long as you don't try to claim it's the original work, the author is rather unlikely to get litigious with you-- there's authors who do, but like, even of the bigname authors that's the minority these days. And even if you get in contact with them...

    My Ero Writer Urges…

As a writer of oft-erotic fiction: smut gives you a different angle for character building than other forms of interaction, and is great for character building and intimacy. Sex and sexuality is a part of most people's life experience, and I don't think it's immoral to write about it? Write...

How brutal should your character's backstop be?

Could you give more context? Like... presumably this is the main character? What are you trying to do with this story? What's it about?

    Which would be better?

I'd actually say not a pure #4-- you can leave up a lot of stuff to readers, but unless you start with some sort of prompt/focus it's actually harder to engage with. #1 would probably be the best seed for an interactive story IMO from hearing those things alone. Why do you wanna write about a...

You get to be Isekai'd with three wishes

    1. The ability to mentally, emotionally, and in all other ways process having omniscience and omnipotence. 2. Omniscience. 3. Omnipotence. Obviously inspired by @TenderHuman's list. I can fetch omnipresence with omnipotence if I really need to, but I don't think I could mentally process...

Does anyone have as much fun when writing? / Why hate your own creation?

When I'm writing, it's fun! Or satisfying in other ways. Sometimes it's less fun afterwards or before, though....

What is the biggest mistake a new writer can make?

Not writing enough. It's very easy to procrastinate on writing. Other than that, I wouldn't worry too much-- you'll make mistakes, you'll find certain topics or kinds of interacting with writing/audience are not for you, etc, etc, but as long as it's a nom de plume unconnected to your "normal"...

Trying do some mythbusting: Do you need sexual experience to write smut better

Vermislitude? I imagine there's a spectrum of realism on being-eaten-by-a-dragon writing.

Trying do some mythbusting: Do you need sexual experience to write smut better

The thing with being eaten by a dragon is that very few people have the real life experience to go "this is unrealistic" when you get minor details wrong. ...but that said, I don't think you need any sort of experience to write anything. It definitely helps with the realism of it, though.

Is it wrong to use ai art?

It's bad primarily because of the system it exists in. Inside this system, I wouldn't call it morally pure, from my view of morality, but most people probably do morally worse things frequently just living their lives inside said system. It's pretty hard to escape. There are ways to make...

What is a Hero? & Do you think the Hero's journeys is outdated? (The Lounge Podcast)

Multiple people have read I Was A Hero In Another World But My Dog-Girl Slave Swapped Places With Me And Now I Can’t Disobey Her, been over 40 chapters in, and then been like "ah, when is the Hero finally going to power up and destroy those who wronged them? that's what I'm waiting to see", even...
