Get use to one-stars honestly, not everyone will like your work. Everyone has different tastes, rather if you get discouraged by those one stars, then remember the people who handed you five stars, think about the people who actually like your works, and read them without commenting, or...

I feel you. I, myself doubt a lot and worry about how my series goes, but everytime I upload and see at least one comment thanking, it makes me think. "It was worth writing, planning and uploading this series".

From what I understand, I think it is similar to those sage mangas where the MC poured his entire life over mastering a single skill. Basically being useless, or trash in every other skill. But that is only how I interpret it. And by lifetime, I mean the average lifespan of a human being.

From what I am hearing, people are taking the "Halloween" theme as horror, it is also mentioned in the thread that Halloween can be either, you can take the aspect of Halloween to be used as your main theme, (Horror, Deception).
