Stage 5 is the finale, and near the end. Where they have complete control. However, the main antagonist is able to break through it. But certain things can be manipulated regardless, and as such, evaded.
The true control of it is shown in the conclusion to it all.
The second stage, in the second half of the book comes later in. Which allows them to manipulate it, but only a limited amount of times.
This is given greater control in stage 3. Stage 4, while they have greater control. They can still be exploited, and is still limited.
An issue was that, the protagonist being able to manipulate reality or the boundaries of it you can say.
My question is that, how in the hell do I balance this?

What made this story so hectic, is that basically every character was given depth on top of a deeper story.
And on top of all the tragedy, more characters join in. So, by the finale. There are like 18 in the group.
Updated the finale with quite a bit. The main antagonist is now 6 phases long.
So in total, the finale is 10 phases. The battle before the main antagonist, and well, the main antagonist.
