Being a boss sounds exhausting though. Do we need to check their work or do we have a middle-aged person for that? :blob_hmm:

How often do you use or see the word "geezer"?

Just found out I'm apparently old ... Am I a geezer myself? :blob_hmm: Anyway, to answer the actual question: I'll out myself and say that I regularly use it. I have a character in my main story that is usually referred to as "old geezer" (because just being a geezer isn't enough apparently...

    Frequently Asked Questions

I think there's an option in the settings so that if you read a chapter, it'll automatically be bookmarked. You might have that enabled. A lot of people don't and don't bother bookmarking the chapter they're actually on so they continue to be shown with only the first.

    Plot holes

Look, I get that you are trying to help but you're really not. Without knowing the story in question, you're just guessing blindly here and that's not going to work. Half of what you're saying isn't even applicable to my story. To be able to really try and give advice, you would need to either...

    Plot holes

It's much more complicated in the story than that. I was just trying to give the quickest rundown here that I could to make it understandable for people who haven't read the story (in both cases but the first is too complicated and the other is just lacking some context since I figured it wasn't...

    Plot holes

I haven't really encountered that scenario but I've had readers comment they found "plotholes" or things they deemed to be wrong. Somehow, it usually turns out to be neither. For example, in my main story, people can project a different appearance. So some readers were quick to point out "But...

    Do you nano?

Thank you! :blob_melt: Well, nobody needs to but if you want to try but feel like the actual NaNo is too much, you could always join the camp instead. You can set your own word count goal there, so whether you go for 10k, 20k, 25k, or even the usual 50k words is completely up to you. Also, if...

    Preferred reading?

I don't think I necessarily prefer either when it comes to reading in general and enjoy both. But I do think I am more likely to remember a story that has a heavy plot and would probably reread one of those while light-hearted stories are something I usually only read once. Some of my favorite...

    Do you nano?

There are several parts to that: 1. I've been at this for some time. I started writing daily in early 2012. I didn't have a specific word goal I tried to hit just anything having been written was alright even if it was just a paragraph or two. That got me in the habit and also helped with...

    Do you nano?

I don't. I did some years ago and back then, it gave a lot to me so I would always suggest people give it a try at least once. There are many things you can learn about yourself as a writer by taking part. Especially so if you haven't been writing for that long because there's more potential for...

    Clothing in a scene

I usually only describe clothes when they are important to the plot. Like, if a character is worrying about going on a date and tries to choose the right things to leave a good first impression or if characters meet for the first time and notice things about the other's clothing, then I tend to...
