I guess when I say respect in that sense Scuti, I mean in the sense of, "you do what you want, and I'll do what I want, and we'll mutually agree to stay the fuck out of each other's way, mkay?"
I can believe it, solely from watching Loius Rossman's bike rambling as he goes to/from work. It's funny when someone does something stupid and a random explicative happens and then he just goes back to talking like nothing happened.
I guess, Scuti, I was talking more about people who pretend to want to have a discussion or be open-minded but really they just want to force their ideals on you, or cancel you or worse if you disagree, really, as long as someone doesn't bother me, I have no interest in bothering them.
Sorry if I got a bit wordy, it just, annoys me to no end how things seem to be going. I don't like the idea of forcing an opinion or ideal on anyone. Discussion and debate are great, but this my way or the highway crap drives me nuts.
Absolutely. People get worked up about anything anymore it feels like. We're allowed to disagree and be our own people, no one needs to cancel anyone else, ideally, we all can discuss things like adults and have some common ground somewhere, and at the end of the day, we don't have to agree on...
Had the char limit make me shorten the end, to clarify, I guess I just hate it when someone is like, "I have the right to own a gun, but I'm going to tell you who you can love, or what to do with your baby."
I mean everything from people arguing about the Annoying Orange Man, or his Corporate Puppet opponent, to game tournaments banning the freaking OK hand symbol, to people butting into other's lives and business over their personal life choices that have no fucking bearing on their life at all...
It seems to me, like in the pursuit of more views(driven largely by revenue generation), the 24 hour news cycle kicked off this never ending cycle of "breaking news" where instead of reporting on things, people look for things to create stories about, add in drama and arguing, then the internet...
I've been using a poll for every chapter I've made. At first it was just, did you enjoy this chapter, yes, no, not sure, but lately I've been trying to get more info from it. Like this:
It's been reasonably successful.
You are right @Discount_Blade - though I've not wandered far from East TN.
Also sorry @Nahrenne ...I wonder if that's why my brain chose that phrase, I forgot all about it till you mentioned it. Took a sec to realize.
Same, @Nahrenne & @Queenfisher, I'm just a small town girl :blob_dizzy:
Largest city near me is Knoxville with around 200k population.
Though I did go to Dragon Con once, in Atlanta, Georgia, dear god was I scared out of my wits, so many people. I ended up just stragically hopping from empty...
And it took me a long time to post that because I had to find a video example. Not watched all of this one. He talked about stuff going on in older ones I had watched, like the lockdowns, or before that, things about stupid crap going on the world, or w/e.
I'd only ever really seen NYC in movies until I started watching videos from a repair guy named Louis Rossman, he rides his bike to his shop and often records the ride while talking about things, it's made for some really interesting insights. He also did a lot of videos covering his hunt for a...
