The most profitable way to earn money off your writing is from Patreon and amazon kdp. As for contests, I only ever entered one but dropped it half-way through since it proved too much for me at the time.

I got 0% on my end too. But as a test, I tried throwing a completely GPT-Generated story into it. It only detected the first paragraph as AI, despite being entirely generated by it.

If you like and comment a lot, possibly on every chapter, then you can definitely be the one who tickles the algorithm the right way. But, that's just a theory and speculation, nothing concrete is known about the algorithm.
