What is Your Favorite Novel of All Time?

Core .001, but it's unfortunately already for 5 1/2 years on hiatus. But I could never forget it. Regarding ongoing novels: A Practical Guide to Sorcery is quite well-made.

Do you monetize your writing ?

I'd like to, but am too introverted and reserved to actually go through with setting up a website or Patreon. Just feels like an endlessly intimidating and insurmountable hurdle to make it happen.

    Upsetting stories where evil wins

I see where you're coming from. Yet even if I try to understand that it's supposed to be art, if the absolute only intention of the piece is to make someone experience disgust, then I can't quite see them as a person I'd agree with. I can't even see them as someone likable. If they truly only...

    Upsetting stories where evil wins

Ehm, I mean after the cut off fingers they get killed by getting their throat cut through. It's not actually about being who they want to be if this was only to kill them for good in my opinion. It seriously was only to add to the suffering before the end.

    Upsetting stories where evil wins

Still, I find there's a difference between tragedy like Romeo and Juliet and simply torturing likable people to death. The one has a certain artistic sense, there's reasoning and depth to suffering and consequences of action. On the contrary, the story I was referring to only was the MC being...

Introducing an annoying character (that I like)

Nah, I'm not the author of this. My story is just called Eldritch: https://www.scribblehub.com/series/243676/eldritch/ Yet I think it does decently well.

    Upsetting stories where evil wins

This might be more of a rant than anything else, but I'd like to talk about reading experiences that truly riled me up (and not in a good way). In both cases, it's simply about the fact that the author made the bad guy without redeemable qualities win. The first traumatized me. Might be said a...

    Can you see my sig?

I'm jealous! I too want to add my books as signs, but am too stupid to work it out!

Introducing an annoying character (that I like)

I guess that's mostly subjective, but I can tell that the new character is actually so annoying to reach her goal that they non-violently get my pazifist MC to lash out and start a fight. Also, the higher up of the cosmic agent is going to come down and settlè this. At this point, my "power...

Introducing an annoying character (that I like)

Yeah, a bit of an issue, I'd like to discuss. Well, essentially I'm mostly complaining about my dilemma. I'm going to introduce a character in my long time story (over 150 chapters, doing well) that I personally quite like. Yet I fear there might be a bit of backlash. The raw chapters are...

    Your opinion about plagiarists/scrappers, sites?

I find scanlations to be a bit of a grey zone. Might apply mostly to mangas, but if there certainly isn't any form of english material to a purely japanese story, for example, then I don't find that anyone really gets harmed. It's said that Japanese publishers even use those to gauge the...

What is your favorite story or stories of all time?

The fact that I till today for five and a half year regularly check if there's any development to Core .001 by INV should be telling enough. It was the first story I ever genuinely read on this site with such interest. The author last said they're still working on it, so I'll keep waiting...

Does make the need for predation to live make a creature evil?

I'd say it depends. If the creature is intelligent, as in not just following their instincts to fill their needs, the important factor is whether or not they have to kill. Vampires for example can surely meet arrangements that don't require to fully drain their victim. If the being actually has...

    DND Podcasts or Shows?

The legend of Vox Machina on Amazon Prime? It's an animation series based on that rather famous DnD group.

    Funniest Typos You Missed?

One of my MCs, a crazy, somewhat sociopathic slime is named "Liqu" yet I rather often accidentally due to proximity write "Loqu" instead, which kinda fits as well.

I'd really love to be able to take that hurdle one day. I'm still all angsty, ever since I just tried to introduce myself to Patreon.

Recommendations Monster Girl Stories (Catgirls, goblins, Kobolds, dragons, arachnids, harpies etc.)

My story is literally called "Slime Girl". In general, I focus on stories that transform girls into different creatures, without directly having them take on the respective mindset. Formicea (hive spawning princess) Arachne (an arachnophobic spider girl) Eldritch (my little Eldritch goddess)...

What is your favourite fantasy race/creature?

Huh, my first guess would be slimes that can take on humanoid forms, as they can have so versatile interactions. But I'd also like a water elemental with those traits. Then maybe some eldritch shapeshifter, but those tend to be stuck in thir ways and aren't offering meaningful interactions...

Why stories about foxes are so popular?

I guess it's the more mythical aura. Cat girls are more feral, while foxes have this shrine feeling to them. In this line of thought, what about bunnies?

Recommendations Loking novel like Harry Potter(GL)

It's not GL, but I could recommend "A Practical Guide to Sorcery", which has many elements of Harry Potter and sports a female protagonist. It's in my opinion even far better than HP.
