No, like I said it can refer to every male. You don’t have to use men. For example, if I say, “A man can dream” I’m saying that everyone can have dreams. I’m not referring to any person in particular.
When you use “a man” it is normally referring to every male unless you are talking about someone you don’t know the name of. For example “A man has a gun!” If you were speaking directly to someone, like you were to me, you would just say, “You have a gun!” or sometimes if you know their name, like you know mine, you say “Napelynn has a gun!” or “Napelynn, you have a gun!”
