The funniest part is I actually just realized I messed up and didn't correct my dashes to em-dashes in this chapter.
Hmph.... I never liked em-dash... even before the a.i. apocalypse... ... ... But ellipsis are my one true love, if it is ever taken from me, i'd riot.
That aside, punctuation conventions are some of the funniest things of being an author. Finding your own preference.
I love ... and I put a space before them. I detest all dashes, especially those for word separation. Not to mention semicolons. They are ugly.
Semicolons are so useful though; you can connect two independent clauses together without thinking of a conjunction word—like what I just did.
I dislike semicolons, too. Which is funny considering I started writing them when I first got into writing webnovels.
