My favorite slice of life plot is when the characters try to be youtubers or otherwise go viral and they either fail or virality ends up being much more trouble than it's worth
At a sushi place, and I saw my first Indonesian-of-Chinese-descent family with their "native" caretaker sitting apart from them of the year. This means great prosperity in the coming year
This recommendation is not meant to symbolize the sun rising on the first day of the year, but rather a nuclear warhead being dropped on (insert country) in 2026
I understand that j-rock bands are generally obsessed with youth, but few of them I feel capture the ambivalent sweatiness of adolescence quite like Number Girl.
Very energetic song with a vocalist who sounds like he's singing from a phone receiver placed on the opposite side of the room from the rest of the band.
This really was how Asian Kung-Fu generation burst into the scene. Unmatched raw energy on display here, the likes of which couldn't possibly be replicated by Gotoh-san on account of him singing like this for years, and also cigarettes probably. Early to mid 2000s Ajikan really was the shit.
The guy in the room next to mine takes phone calls in the middle of the night despite the paper-thin walls between us. To get back at him, I will now blast emo music at full volume. Bro thinks he can sleep-in on the weekends. Nuh-uh
Is it weird that this is one of my favorites off of Blue? It's just so wistful, it's like I'm really there, I'm really Jonas, and I'm carrying the wheel, even.
