Tired of Mariah Carey? If so, krill yourself.

But also, ho ho how about some obscure indie rock for Christmas? Whether you're already in the nice list, naughty list, or the ⬛⬛⬛ list, this one will put you firmly in Shrimp's cool kids list.

In a way, discovering niche artists is like childhood Christmas.
Finally finished watching The Tatami Galaxy. Pretty cool show. If only I watched it 4 years earlier, I could've had a more authentic campus life, but maybe feeling regret about that goes against the message in the first place. Anyway, I might've had unreasonable expectations for the show because of its reputation, but it was enjoyable all the way through. The final 2 episodes in particular were stellar.

The folks over at The Promise Ring really nailed the feeling of suburban melancholia when they decided to write a 2 minute song with nonsense lyrics, a static 2 chord vamp, and the most good-bad vocals this side of the midwest
Coworker is really hooked on one of the new Taylor Swift songs, and it just so happened to be the one with a chorus that I just irrationally hate

    Coincidence? Maybe. Perhaps.

The First Take version coming out reminded me just how much of a poignant, understated banger this ending song was. I wasn't like a day 1 Naruto fan. I really only watched it in elementary school. Even so, the first few openings and endings never fail to make me feel something. Also this song's in 5/4 time, which is cool.
I was reading White Nights by Dostoevsky on one of my lunch breaks, but I ended off in the middle of one of the guy's trademark yap sessions. It's been a couple of days since then, and now I don't remember where I'm supposed to continue. I guess I'll just read the yapping from the very beginning to make sure I don't lose anything

This is the point where you suddenly wake up reincarnated inside the book you're reading so the author can teach you a life lesson. :blob_aww:

Dear god, I would rather die then reincarnate into one of his books. There's almost no good endings for any of his characters...

Well, at least almost all of them are nobles and have enough money to live a comfortable life, instead of plowing the feilds... :blob_hmm_two:

I was about to say how some people want to be ruined. If you can't fix her, let Dostoevsky fix you or something. :blob_evil:

Pinkerton is a special album. To see a band go from overnight sensations to scaring the hoes. To see Rivers Cuomo go from the cute dude in the music video for Buddy Holly to a guy with yellow fever.

El Scorcho is a very loser song, and it found me at a very loser time in my life. I think there is value in that. We can't be winners all the time, so here's to being a loser.
Genghis Khan was the first ever and only self-made billionaire—and perhaps trillionaire

The actual wealth of the Mongol Empire was unknown, but it was said to have trillions of dollars worth of diamonds, 2 million tons of gold, and trillions more in other gems. This and the territory it owned would drive the empire into having USD 120 trillion worth of assets.

Also Genghis Khans DNA can be traced to over 16million people today, so calling you a 'descendants of Genghis Khan' may not be wrong.

Lmao he said that anyone in the class could be his descendant. I didn’t understand then. But I did later on.
Some things make me feel such profound emotions, like of nostalgia or melancholy, but I know I'll never be able to convey them because they're so linked to my personal experiences. While that bums me out as a (supposed) writer, I also kind of like the very fact that those emotions tied to those experiences are exclusively mine

"You okay, man? You hit your head pretty hard.

Epstein? You mean the New York financier? What files?

    ROFLCOPTER you trippin xD

Anyway check out this awesomesauce video I found. The guy basically remixed the 300 trailers into a song. It's the best video on the interwebs."
