Remember how pop songs in the 2010s all had rap random rap features? Imagine that but turned into a band. Or imagine if NWA had a singer-songwriter. That's what this is.

Bondan Prakoso's a hella talented musician, and Fade2Black are a rap group, and they're incredible together. This song especially is legendary for its uplifting lyrics and chorus.

"Ya sudahlah" pretty much translates to "it is what it is". The song essentially preaches "fuck it, we ball" before that phrase existed, reassuring the listener that they aren't alone and that everything will be okay in the end. Very warm stuff. Kinda like that Gym Class Heroes songs with Adam Levine, but better because Adam Levine isn't on it.
I know sometimes my posts can be a little bit incendiary, spicy, or the dreaded p adjective

But let me have this one

This might get me booted off this site for good and offend some, but it's an important point to make. Skip if you're uncomfortable. I understand.

From the most iconic Indonesian band to likely the most iconic solo musician.

Iwan Fals has been compared to Bob Dylan, with his folksy instrumentation, loud ass harmonica, and socially charged lyrics.

I don't really listen to him but his songs cover a whole range of topics, such as corruption, education, prostitution, unions, onions, cations, etc.

This one in particular is named after and about his son, Galang Rambu Anarki-- translated as Support the Sign of Anarchy.

Probably the sickest name of all time other than Alexander T. Great.

But anyways, this song's a nice little ditty about raising a son in this economy. Some nice lines about asking for forgiveness for not being able to afford milk and encouraging the kid to grow quick and cry hard.

Sadly, Galang Rambu Anarki, a musician himself, passed away in 1997 at just 15. Either due to asthma or a drug overdose.

    Rest in Peace ?️

Also I understand you're the most iconic solo musician in Indonesia's history, but how are you going to let your son get hooked on drugs at 15
I hate it when j*b websites put "You might be a strong candidate" next to a listing and the thing that makes me a "strong candidate" is just like, the fact that I'm a human being shrimp who exists in the physical plane, while completely ignoring the j*b requirements of a PhD in astrophysics and a submarine license.

Ghosts aren't real, unless you're in Southeast Asia.

Ask anyone from the region. They all have ghost stories.

Even the people who don't believe in ghosts have ghost stories

Indonesia's independence day's coming up (August 17th). Although I have many unkind things to say about the state of this country, it would be an injustice to not showcase its bangers. So until the 17th, I'll be posting Indonesian music.

Starting with Dewa, the biggest band in the country's history.

You see, I like to divide Dewa into two eras. In English, I'd call these eras:
    1. Rizz era (90s)
    2. Sexual harassment era (2000s)

Rizz era was marked by more tender love songs and balladic arrangements, carried by Ari Lasso's sensitive vocals.

Sexual harassment era was after Ari left the band, and they adopted a much more hard rocking, sexier, more brash sound.

These two eras can easily be seen in the two versions of Kangen. The top one is firmly rizz, while the bottom one is sexual harassment.

This post has been meandering for a while, but just know that Dewa are an iconic band. They're like Indonesia's Queen. Not just in terms of enduring popularity, but because of their sound.

They're very very influenced by the flamboyance and exotic sounds of Queen.

To wrap up, here's a song showing what I mean:

I consider this their Bohemian Rhapsody because it's kinda out there, exotic sounding, and the guitar solo is so Brian May coded, but with a fuckton of chords under it. It's honestly kinda crazy. The bridge is also Queen as fuck.

If, in an effort to not fall for propaganda, you turn unquestioningly to the opposite side of an issue, that's also falling for propaganda. The truth is a secret third thing.

Some people think LeBron is the GOAT

Some people think LeBron is overrated

    I think LeBron should ****** me in the ***** until ***** *** ******* ** *****

Writing is honestly bottom tier. I prefer stories of old, told through song and dance.

I think postmodernism is top tier though. Without it, we wouldn't have gotten funny French people and Teen Titans Go

Wait... aren't, subversion, metafiction, reference, genre deconstruction all under the umbrella of postmodernism...

Wait, is it post modern if modern now is what was post modern before, what is post post modern!?!
    :blob_no:
What is now? Which am !

You're doing a postmodernism right now. It's been with you all along. Inside your heart, inside your soul.

I don't think I've recommended this song before.

But it's a nice one, very cozy yet wistful.

Tim Collis' steps away from the more technical leanings of his unique guitar playing style here, instead opting for something a lot warmer and more intimate.

Even without any lyrics, this song will transport you to the time when you last felt warmth.

Heartbreaking ?: Big Corpo Vtuber Makes Good Original Music

I like this one, a lot more than I do most Hololive original songs. It's just kinda a vibe you know. Very pretty

Not as keen on the song's hook, but I'll get over it. The drumming's great though.
You will live to see manmade horrors beyond your comprehension (racist lolicon vtubers who claim to be christian)

There's this Instagram acc I like a lot that just posts reels of two voices with a Chinese(?) accent going:

"What the fucking kind of (thing) is this?"
    "That is a (explanation)"

Over and over again for whatever the video topic is (fish, plants, etc.)

I wish IG had a watch history function so I could actually find the acc name
I think I should have my own typing quirk, or signature

Something I can end my posts with.

    Maybe
