  • Playing Shadow Hearts Covenant. Right off the bat, the system is actually really good. However, the story is definitely a sharp downgrade from the first game.

The first game built up each area to a chilling boss fight. The tone, the horror, it was a really good. The second game so far? Just point A to point B, and cheap jokes.

So far, the story is okay I guess. Though, it will have to do a major leap to get any respect.

The Graveyard isn’t unsettling as well, so that’s another downgrade. Rather, they changed the whole thing.

There doesn’t appear to be fusion battles anymore, and it is more like a door and wide open areas.
I swear. The Shadow Hearts fisherman side of the story is still one of the most creepiest thing lol. Especially with the old woman retelling the story of Li Li’s tragedy.
They really need to update Shadow Hearts. Game is still amazing. It is like seriously, this game would be a gold mine if they bring it back. And ya know, don’t sanitize it. Have it in its raw bloody, horrific flaw, without tamed language.
Well, while editing. I realized something. I sorta forgot about one particular ability of the lead.

The point of it was supposed to be a very small look into the main’s power.

Yeah, when I remembered. I thought of a very quick fix. It appears in the finale, and evolves in the finale. :meowsip:

Finale is the only time you see them unchained, so it works.

When I write, I create multiple scenarios to work with. So if I forget something, it isn’t an issue to slot it in elsewhere, or write something around it.

And all it took was a two sentence add in on Chapter 5.5. Mission accomplished. :meowsip:

In short, for every one scene I create. I map out like 5 more.

The first time they use is in Chapter 1, then it s 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, and now 5.5. With 6.5 being the last instance until the finale.

In short, it is meant to be used in Guardian battles alone.
Ah editing. It never ends. :meowsip:

    10 Chapters - 33 parts.

8 Guardian battles. A new thing added in, a lot of chaos happens in these ones.

Ans the best idea I have had in a while occurs in the finale. :blob_evil_two:

You can probably guess when the last two will be, but you probably won’t be able to guess who the final Guardian battle is. :blob_evil:

I swear, those people at Patreon need a slap in the face. Okay, so they came out with a faster way to get through the checking process when posting.

    However, two issues.

    1. A scroll bar to give out free content.
—> It is like, why? This is a pretty useless feature overall. Because, if you’re gonna give out free content, you will give out a whole part to better draw in people.

—> And for algorithm purposes, you make a separate post.

    2. They did not think to sort stuff into its appropriate categories. So, in order for it to pop up under its tier. You have to go through each and every part and manually uncheck and check. It is a three step click, because it always checks on the paid once box. So you have to check that off.

It is like, what are these people doing? That was a whole lot of extra work to do.
Also, steam strikes again with their stupidity. I think right now, they are complaining that a game is being bundled together with its DLC as a complete edition. Like other companies do.

Something around the line of complaining that they paid individual. It is dumb. Everyone who buys in will naturally pay a higher price out the door, as a game gets older.

It gets bundled together for an easier last sale.
Ya know, whenever I play games. I kinda miss the time I was younger before I needed glasses. Things were so clear. Now whenever I play games, I have to wear my glasses.

    I blame Envy. :blob_catflip:
Finished the finale of Sovereign Night, working on the epilogue now.

The finale does something old and new alike. Old as in, a concept I haven’t done since Vita et Mors. :blob_evil_two:

New as in something actually new. This finale is so gonna hit.

    Finished the epilogue.
Ah yeah, those late mid to end game battles. When boss Soul Crush like Final Blast and Nibelung Valesti takes away like all your life or 90% of it. :blob_evil_two:

The game also had one of the fiercest anti-cheat thing for the time period. You had to be very delicate with how you approach modifying the game.

Since you won’t know if your file is corrupted, until Chapter 5, pretty much really late into the game. The game will freeze, and you’ll have to delete all files to get it into a playable state.
Anyway, 6 parts at least left for Sovereign Night.

Well, maybe 8. I am gonna write an epilogue + some extra scenes before calling it a wrap.
