  • Finally finished Crosscode’s post game. That final dungeon was long as hell. And those puzzles were even more convoluted. :blob_no:

Well, in the end. The main character gets a workaround that does allow them to speak. And the first thing they do? Is troll everyone with some of their usual words from when they were limited. ?

A character was also waiting forever to finally learn more about the main, such as their hobbies. And the main thought about it, and realized they have none.

    ?

    The character was devastated.
FFXII, I think I finally narrowed down the problem I have with the game. Story wise, and gameplay wise. It is good.

The problem is Vaan. You can cut him out of the story, and things would be fine, given that the story has more focus on Ashe, and everyone gravitating around her.

It is one of those cases, where you can remove the main character entirely and nothing changes.

Honestly, they would likely just need to make a few shifts. Remove Vaan, focus in even more on Ashe; Balthier, and Fran. And things will be just fine.

As I said though, story wise? It is good.

Sometimes it's a matter of simply rotating the tires. If that doesn't improve the situation, a belt might need replaced. Make sure to check all the fluids, especially the oil.
I just realized. This current story I am working on, links into a story I pulled years ago. That story is completed, though. I guess I can rewrite it. ?
This story really is gonna be a long one. After the five branching paths. It then goes to the main’s own, when they confront one of their trading partners who orchestrated the attack on them.

Unlike the rest though, there are no more forces to deploy. Hence, the main tackles that one on their own.

The rest remains in their position to completely lock down the three nations and all supplies and support until the end of the war. :blob_blank:

Well, at least the first will be funny. The first team is led by an iguana with Plot Armor. :meowsip:

Those battles are gonna be something else. :blob_cookie:
The main for Vita et Mors. Honestly, not sure if I might bring up their true power again. That or at least for a really long time.

You see it just once, and that is in the series finale. The Access Code to degrade reality. They completely controlled it, and only let their target live, so they can kill them themselves. ?

It is risky to use, so that’s gonna be the reason why they won’t use it. :meowsip:
Well, one of the branching paths. It will reintroduce something the character hasn’t done in like forever. When they enter into their Phoenix state. They also get for a moment, to stop time. Which they set countless knives, and releases it in the fiery flaming turkey. :meowsip:
The thing about crosscode’s final battle. Is that, it sets in. Win or lose, the character is likely deleted. Since their existence isn’t allowed due to what they are.

Let alone the whole barrier to get around. That technically, the creation of the character copies the memories, emotions, etc of a player.

One of the many obstacles, was to also convince that those evotars also can develop separately and become their own from the original.

Let alone, trying to breakthrough the barrier on how it can revolutionize the industry.

It is just that winning that final battle provides them with a slim chance. :meowsip:
The main character’s sass is upped in New Game Plus because of the add ons. Such as when they are told not to equip their high level equipment. Yeah, we both know they are gonna do so and wreak havoc. ?
New Game Plus is when things get even more fun for Crosscode. As some of the main add ons.

    1. Permanent element mode - Truly Balanced.

    2. Witch Time - Slow down time upon a perfect dash.

    3. Devil Trigger - Unlimited SP.

    4. Early Access - Unlock all circuit nodes.

There are also more add ons that grants new dialogues to make the game more funny.
The cause for this war is actually something that happened over time. The main refuses to give up their research and sell the rights to their medicine. It is now the one thing their home is known for.

That medicine is highly valuable. They have refined it over time. Hence their home can be considered a sanctuary of such because of it.

It has both normal uses, but also can be deathly applied to soldiers.

Making them into a quite a threatening force due to the regenerative properties. A whole network was set up for this.

Eventually, three nations decide to attack to get ahold of it.
    Valmond
    Valmond
Normally the main stays out of these things now. And rather just shield their home. Though, this is one instance where they are forced back to the front line.

In short, the main kept a tight grip on their research, and the flow of the medicine they created. Taking measures to ensure it remains in their hands.
Why do I do this to myself. Working on another short. And this time, it involves six teams commanding a small army each. A union in short.

And it doesn’t end there, this goes into a wide scale attack against three nations.

Kinda didn’t have a choice, since the main’s home is under attack. Oh yeah, an iguana is gonna be leading one of the teams. :meowsip:
Did that ridiculous hard boss battle. Since I knew I’d have to shift how I play entirely. That’s what I did. Fortunately, that game gave me such a beating the first few times.

That when it came to that fight. I developed a few ways to fight and mixing patterns. It disrupted that AI pretty good, but they did caught me a few times with some combos and a heavy attack.

It was definitely using an aggressive play style, since I didn’t really use defensive in that playthrough.

I remember one playthrough, it was a near perfect way of playing. Winning that one was quite a chore.

This time around, I shifted the way I played to perfect guard/parry. I almost never used this style in the current play through, so it didn’t have that to draw from.

Though, it compensated in other ways for sure. :blob_blank:

There were playthroughs when they perfect guard/parried me. And chained the hell outta me with level 3 combat arts.

Me playing that run on a higher level really came back to bite me. :blob_no:
Well, that was funny. A questline, since the main character cannot talk outside of a few words. They sent them to deal with a hostage negotiation situation.
Given that the character is an AI, and the opponent is the original. They will be a mirror match. You essentially have to think how you would disrupt and surpass your way of playing.

Since it looks like the game tracks how you play. I don’t even know how the hell they did that to this extent. :blob_blank:

If you can’t find the flaws in the way you fight, and develop more ways/counters. That fight will go from extremely hard, to nightmare. :blob_no:
The level 3 Combat Arts is when the game gets extremely fun. It becomes extremely fast paced, while mixing that into strategy.

Though, personally. I’d say the hardest point. Aside from the brain busting puzzles, there are a lot of those. :blob_no:

Is a certain boss. Which looks to have been designed in a particular way.
But really, the main reason I skipped such a large section of the game. Is to get the lvl 3 combat arts earlier. That section would roughly two hours. Before I do post game.

I gotta go through New Game Plus for some additional benefits, so faster the better.
The first part of the dungeon required this to be done three times in a row. No room for messing up, otherwise a reset. However, if completed. You just skipped a whole section of the game.
