Whichever it is, there's certainly no question that this track bangs. It fucks even. It's a pint of sasquatch testosterone injected straight into your veins. It'll put a jungle on your chest. Each verse just oozes unbelievable hype and machismo. Don't blame me if you start punching dudes unprompted after listening to this track.
Started working on my main WIP again after a month of side projects. I don't even remember what my notes mean anymore. And I Instantly used the wrong tense on the first sentence I tried to write.

This might be a yap because Pink Floyd was my favorite band in highschool.
Roger Waters is as pertinent as he's ever been. People say a lot of shit about him, "Oh, I like his music, but I don't like his politics", among a slew of other things undermining his artistic vision, which was always a union between the music, the theatrics, and the politics.
I really gotta learn to swim, my ass is grown.
That's a whole realm that has been inaccessible to me. It's like playing an old GTA game but never unlocking the 2nd city.

A more mainstream pick, but it's Kendrick. One of the greatest songwriters of our generation.
This track is my favorite of the Mr. Morale period, even though it's not on the album. Just incredible lyricism from start to finish, encapsulating the album's wider themes of the cycles of trauma and abuse, specifically in black communities.
I saw this cursed shit now you must too.
I'm now a much firmer believer in quality over quantity ?

But the reason why slavery is so popular in isekai and isekai-adjacent media is because the only way their audiences can imagine actually getting attention from the opposite sex is by legally owning them.

This one definitely isn't for everyone, more so than my other recs.
But this track and video is the human experience condensed into a rushed smoke break. In post-rock fashion, it builds on an established motif that explodes into an intense, dissonant, and almost overwhelming whirr of guitars and programmed drums that HAS to make you feel something.
How do I clean my IG reels algorithm? It's full of Italian brainrot that I don't even enjoy.
On a side note... *pulls paper out of my woke hat* calling Tung Tung Tung Sahur Italian brainrot when it's very obviously Indonesian is cultural appropriation.
All this fanfic discourse is reminding me of the disconnect between online literary spaces and art spaces. You can perfectly make a career out of doing fanart on Patreon (looking at you, Khyle) or commissions, but I wonder why that's generally more of a sensitive issue when it comes to fics.
Which is why my final stance is do whatever you want. Get your money while you can, homie.

A gorgeous track from possibly my favorite album of all time. Incredible musicianship, tasteful blend of genres and sounds, and potent songwriting. The use of the Concorde jet as a metaphor for a sunk-cost relationship is genius, and the climax feels like watching a jet take off without you.
Listen if you like symphonic/progressive rock.
After all these hours in Elden Ring, I've realized that the correct way to play is, in fact, with summons and magic. They make for the most dynamic encounters. -
