I finished rewriting Azure Night entirely. Now all I gotta do is edit it, and I’ll be releasing it on RR.
It will be 46 parts long.
That or 10 chapters, two epilogues, and a profile part with two Bonus Scenes.
Something else too the game did well. The story is that the group are a bunch of misfits that found their place amongst each other.
How they had to conform to being normal, and if they don't, they will be broken to be made to conform.
The thing about the main character, is that they were not normal as well like the rest of their kind that came from the antagonist.
Yeah, as broken as it was in the first game's finale. First boss fight with the Altered Form?
Final Flash flooded them away. ?
Thing is, up until near the end of the second game. Still haven’t beaten it yet. The main doesn’t actually speak, aside from some dialogue choices at times.
After they take on the original’s identity, that’s when they start talking. This was a nice detail, as it brings together the story, and shows their growth from their doubt and insecurities.
And shows them as their own person rather than a copy.
That’s a nice attention to detail. Usually when you summon or switch with another character. They have their own soundtrack that plays. However, when you use an Altered State, the main character’s theme plays.
Which is the connection between the original and the Gangar. I like these tiny details that makes the experience even better.
So, the next part was about the Gangar who was sent back to the past, since they failed the first time. And how the original and them were very close, and shared the same resolve.
Damn, that was a heavy twist. In short, the protagonist is a Ganger who trusted the original. The original had an illness that was steadily making them weaker.
On top of that, the antagonist tried to take their body. Though, when they were saved. It scattered their fragments, but left them in a slow state of decline into petrification.
And now it is diving into what specifically happened to the main. And why their heart’s core is in the place of the antagonist.
From what I can tell, I pretty much breaks down as that was where they lost everything.
And turns out, the protagonist somehow stole the antagonist power before they lost their body.
Absented Age 2 is one tragedy after the next. Each section of the game amazingly concludes and links to the next.
Translations are still a bit of a pain, but I gotta seriously see how this game ends. To get caught up a bit. The precious story, is about one of the members of the club.
How they were set up for failure, and being supposedly taught a life lesson because they were different. Their overbearing parents
My monitor came, and I am loving it. Funny enough, I was a bit confused about the screen size fitting everything, because the last thing I used couldn't scale it correctly. ?
That aside, now if only my PC can arrive soon.
Finished the finale for Azure Night, now the epilogue. Bit of a spoiler, the first epilogue is tragic for like half of it.
Started rewriting the finale for Azure Night.
Should have it wrapped up soon. There were tons of improvements and additions in this version.
I decided to checkup on the forums of RR after nearly a month. And apparently it looks like someone made a lengthy post calling people’s writing AI, and stating how they can tell and don’t like to be fooled.
When in reality, things are tagged correctly on that site for the most part. I doubt they can tell what is AI or not, but yeah. Seems about right with peeps in that place. ?
The monitor I bought will be here soon. So, at least I’ll get to try that out in the mean time.
Well, I did a lot of writing. Finishing up Chapter 9, which will leave the finale and the two epilogues left to rewrite.
I got it, I know the first game I will play when I get the new setup. An RPGmaker game. -
