  • So now the main character’s side of the story is on halt, while exploring other characters stories. Such as how the Gangars, funny enough, the JP name translates to Gengar I believe.

Translated, it was shifted to Gangar. Anyway, that thing is preying on the characters insecurities and tragedies in their life to trap them while they try to devour their memories. All of this links into the main in a way, as given

Thought you were saying you were screwing over your own MC's screen time in a story you were writing for a second.

I have to do like 3 to 5 takes at times, since some things are frustratingly difficult. Though, it isn’t too bad given that it is pretty close to how the first game was translated. I have something to work with. :blob_blank:
    Valmond
    Valmond
I already did that, multiple times. ?

No, just doing translations. Since the story is really good, and the system is amazing.
Now then, some new features to the second game. There is an aim feature similar to what you’d find in a bullet hell game. It adds on to the layer of strategical combos you can use based on enchantment.

Another is a summon assist feature. So you can summon other characters to help in the dungeons temporarily.

What’s more is an expansion on the weakness system.

For instance, use an electrical spell in the water. And you hit everything in the water, I think also paralyze amongst other things.

Quite a bit was added into make the battles even more engaging. :blob_popcorn:

It looks like you can raise other characters to summon to help in fights for a short time, which is very much appreciated. :blob_blank:
Kinda sad really, there are some incredibly great games out there. Unfortunately, they don’t get much attention simply due to money limitations to properly advertise.

Absented Age 1 and 2 are some of the best games I’ve played in quite a while. :blob_teary:
Absented Age 2 had a long prologue that slapped hard lol.

This game knows how to conclude their parts powerfully. ?
I really wish Absented Age 2 was translated. It is kind of a pain to make sense of, but the translation closely falls in line with the flow from the first game from what I can tell, but it is still a pain.

To cut it a bit short. From the events of the first game, it continues off with an occurrence that robbed people’s memories, similarly to the end of the first game.

The main is thought to be a fake, since the story was spun that they died in a plane crash. However, through necromancy, they were able to temporarily take to a physical form.

Needless to say, because they haven’t fully acknowledged their previous life. It has an effect on not only them, but the world around them.

The second game resumes with them trying to gather the rest of their fragments, but a greater threat is before them from the end of the first game’s conclusion.

It gets into more of the main’s past. A trio who are misfits, but built a club together. Though, from what I can tell. These memories, do seem to be leading up to who killed the main.
    Valmond

For now, it is pretty much the main is not truly seeing themselves as the previous one. Which is affecting them, and causing more doubts.

So it looks like this one is picking up off of the resolve to exist, and building on it with the reality of who they are now versus their previous life. :blob_popcorn:
Second game starts out swinging with the feels. The ending of the first game, was a fight to exist. As the character, who had an important part of them stolen.

This led to their gradual deterioration, meaning they got weaker the longer they were away from it. However, during this time. You find out that the character houses a world full of power, but they can’t really control it and is why they are classified

Hellish battle, they have your skills but on steroids and you’re practically doing this long battle alone, as it is multi phased.

Anyway, when they were about to win. Their companions got caught, and the main was struck down because they let down their guard. And while they were supposed to fade away, when the antagonist tried to merge the two worlds.

They created an opening for the main to return, and they returned in their transformed state. So for the last battle, it a one against the boss and four other mini bosses.

The main character has a lot of busted abilities in that state.

Needless to say, the game ends on a powerful note with the scenes afterwards. And now I am in for just as much of a ride it seems. :blob_popcorn:
And that was the end of the first game, well. Time to get to translating for the second, since I gotta know. ?

Good news is, that I can import my international save file. So I retained my progress.

Also, I ain’t translating that. I’m already going half insane lol.

Though, the story is just too damn good.

    Ha! You already did!

This game is hitting hard, also. Just played through a long as hell dungeon. Which really laid on the tragedy. :blob_blank:

The boss fight, you’re practically fighting it alone in complete madness.
    Valmond
    Valmond
Boss fights are a mix of real time action, meaning avoiding the bosses attacks. Creating openings, damaging to bring down their barrier.

Then collision to transition into semi-turn based. The whole thing is fast paced.

And all the while, you’re strategically considering your options.
    Valmond
    Valmond
What made the boss fight hard, is because the boss is a double of your character. They have all the abilities amplified with steroids.

And of course, it means they have the dash attacks. :blob_blank:

They hit you with everything, blind, fire, traps, etc.

And this game ain’t stopping with the feels, it just keeps getting better. :blob_teary:
Oh yeah, a few days ago. Forgot its name, but apparently Sega released a murder mystery Sonic game. Where Sonic was killed, it did overwhelmingly well, so I’m curious. ?
For a $15 game, it is pretty long. Also, pretty tragic story. Music is really good as well. This has been a very good purchase. :blob_popcorn:

System, think Mystery Dungeon real time turn based. It is a rogue, so you lose half your items on defeat. However, upgrades are permanent, and can gather points to increase other parameters and learns skills and whatnot.

The game also emphasizes on strategic play with terrains, bosses, etc.
    Valmond
    Valmond
There is also an Arcade mode, which can help you gather points and other stuff for your save file if you need it.
Never more have I felt dumb, than spending hours on a puzzle. Just to realize the solution to literally right in front of my face. :blob_blank:
Currently for Azure Night, I am rewriting Chapter 5.5. So past the halfway point. After I finish rewriting Chapter 6.5, it will go faster, since that’s one less part to write.

The goal is to finish this in at least a month’s time, and have it ready for release. A lot of new additions, there is even a new Chapter 4.6.

Chapters 7 to Finale(10), can’t have anything much added, since that is one long raid.
    Valmond
    Valmond
Though, there will be additions that links Chapters 1 to 6.5. Chapter 5.5 addition as well won’t come into play until Chapter 9.
    Valmond
    Valmond
And new additions were made to the protagonist strongest ability, that as usual is accessed in the finale. The access conditions are in Chapters 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, 5.5(links into Chapter 9), and 6.5(links into 9 and Finale(10).

Quite a bit of new scenes, interactions, etc. And a deeper look into the events of the conflict. :blob_popcorn:
Well, found a really good game. Problem is, the second game has not been translated yet. Well, gonna play it, ain’t gonna like making sense of translations. :blob_blank:

Why not lose all your items?
    Valmond
    Valmond
Who knows, likely to keep a steady progression. Since you don’t keep your levels, and dungeons are pretty long.

You don’t really keep much, and the majority will be used to burn for extra points for permanent boosts.

The only silver lining here, is that you can start on higher floors from check points, and pay points to get some levels. That’s about it.
    Valmond
    Valmond
Oh yeah. Equipment also deteriorates, so losing half your items is a bit of an issue. You’ll need to constantly switch out, and it won’t recover until after you leave the dungeon.

I think duplicates increases it a bit? Though, not entirely sure.
