  • I finished rewriting Azure Night entirely. Now all I gotta do is edit it, and I’ll be releasing it on RR.

It will be 46 parts long.

That or 10 chapters, two epilogues, and a profile part with two Bonus Scenes.
Something else too the game did well. The story is that the group are a bunch of misfits that found their place amongst each other.

How they had to conform to being normal, and if they don't, they will be broken to be made to conform.

The thing about the main character, is that they were not normal as well like the rest of their kind that came from the antagonist.

And instead, they saved the original and became good friends, close like siblings. In short, they as well did not fit in with the rest. Everything rounds back to how it is okay to not be normal.

They completely defied that logic, hence through their actions in the game. When they risked getting devoured by the others to save their friends.
Yeah, as broken as it was in the first game's finale. First boss fight with the Altered Form?

Final Flash flooded them away. ?
Thing is, up until near the end of the second game. Still haven’t beaten it yet. The main doesn’t actually speak, aside from some dialogue choices at times.

After they take on the original’s identity, that’s when they start talking. This was a nice detail, as it brings together the story, and shows their growth from their doubt and insecurities.

And shows them as their own person rather than a copy.

There is also an advantage to the Altered Form. A normal change to another character stops TP build, but the Altered is a transformation not a character change.

So they can build TP, which means they can also access Overdrive much easier.

Overdrive allows the character to freely act with normal attacks making enemies unable to attack for a few seconds.
That’s a nice attention to detail. Usually when you summon or switch with another character. They have their own soundtrack that plays. However, when you use an Altered State, the main character’s theme plays.

Which is the connection between the original and the Gangar. I like these tiny details that makes the experience even better.

Like anything else, your use is limited. Once the stone reaches 0% then you can’t use it anymore, and extended use brings that down faster.

It however ends when the battle concludes.

Also, dmg taken increases by 50% when your MP is 35% or below. Not sure if I am reading it right, since it could mean damage increased by 50% as well.

Words can refer to multiple things, which makes translations a bit of a pain. I think it actually means, damage goes up by 50% but I won’t know for sure until I get to that point.

However, every time you defeat an enemy you gain back a point of MP.
So, the next part was about the Gangar who was sent back to the past, since they failed the first time. And how the original and them were very close, and shared the same resolve.

The situation really crashed against them, and now they are heading to complete their goal.

This is when their Altered Form is unlocked. The power that came from the antagonist, that you use in the finale of the first game.

It was really just a story device until now.
Damn, that was a heavy twist. In short, the protagonist is a Ganger who trusted the original. The original had an illness that was steadily making them weaker.

On top of that, the antagonist tried to take their body. Though, when they were saved. It scattered their fragments, but left them in a slow state of decline into petrification.

In their last attempt to save their dream. They consulted with the Ganger, used their friend’s kindness and erased their memories.

So that the Ganger would think they are them and seek out the pieces to become the original.

In the end though, when the Gangar became the original. It wasn’t something they wanted, despite that’s what their kind would aim for.

The original died, passing on their life to their friend.

And now it is diving into what specifically happened to the main. And why their heart’s core is in the place of the antagonist.

From what I can tell, I pretty much breaks down as that was where they lost everything.

And turns out, the protagonist somehow stole the antagonist power before they lost their body.
    Valmond

Well, I suppose more closely looked at. It is more likely, the antagonist tried to petrify the main. Though, something happened which caused them to assimilate the antagonist’s power.

Which they lost their body and memories. However, that power is still receptive to the antagonist and the main can be manipulated by them.
Absented Age 2 is one tragedy after the next. Each section of the game amazingly concludes and links to the next.

Translations are still a bit of a pain, but I gotta seriously see how this game ends. To get caught up a bit. The precious story, is about one of the members of the club.

How they were set up for failure, and being supposedly taught a life lesson because they were different. Their overbearing parents

You also find out, that a character knows where the main’s body is, but can’t say. Time parodix and whatnot. Either way, during the process. The main becomes more confident in who they are now as well.

And then you find out a character’s illness is about to kill them. :blob_blank:

There was also a whole raid that went on after all characters came back. Their stories were pretty heavy each as well.

So about the main, it is like they had to relearn their passion. Doubting how they were and how they are now, which deeply affected them.

Though, they are steadily getting better again. There is one more major piece of themselves left to reclaim, so that is likely to be what fills in the gap, and how they decide to lead from there.
Finished the finale for Azure Night, now the epilogue. Bit of a spoiler, the first epilogue is tragic for like half of it. :blob_popcorn:

One thing I really wanted to hammer in, was the growth of the protagonist into another Iconoclast. The second one in the series.

And this time, I am certain I really homed that in. The second main also got many more scenes and additions, as their role is critical and the additions and other improvements were made to highlight this. :blob_popcorn:
I decided to checkup on the forums of RR after nearly a month. And apparently it looks like someone made a lengthy post calling people’s writing AI, and stating how they can tell and don’t like to be fooled.

When in reality, things are tagged correctly on that site for the most part. I doubt they can tell what is AI or not, but yeah. Seems about right with peeps in that place. ?
The monitor I bought will be here soon. So, at least I’ll get to try that out in the mean time. :blob_popcorn:

Also, it is a good thing I wrote down my Steam information. As well as changed the email, since otherwise. I’d probably be in a mess trying to recover that info. :blob_blank:
